Inspiring Conversations with Lisa Hamilton of Concierge Haus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Hamilton.

Hi Lisa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was working as a real estate agent on the westside of LA, and helping clients buy and sell homes. Meanwhile, my mother owned a property that had been in our family for years, but as she got older, it became almost impossible for her to maintain it. The home was in desperate need of repairs as well as ongoing upkeep — and attention that she couldn’t manage on her own. Traditional renting wasn’t an option either as she was overwhelmed by the logistics of renters, maintenance, etc.
So we stepped in together.
With a lot of resourcefulness and determination, we found a way to bring the property back to life. We made just enough improvements to open it up for short-term stays. This helped us generate enough income to support the home which was especially meaningful as an African-American homeowner in a city where homeownership is especially low.
In the process, I realized that many older homeowners were facing similar challenges. They had properties with potential but maybe lacked the time, expertise, or support to manage them effectively.
That’s how Concierge Haus was born.
We began by helping homeowners care for and utilize their properties through short-term stays, curated event rentals, and unique locations for film and television production. Our focus has always been on thoughtful, hands-on management that takes the pressure off owners and makes full use of the spaces.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the major shifts in the industry happened during COVID, when remote work became much more common. This created a new kind of demand, with people looking for mid- to long-term stays rather than short vacations.
We immediately saw this as an opportunity. We now host clients for several weeks or months at a time, especially professionals working remotely or relocating temporarily. We also service the film and TV industry.
At the same time, one of the main challenges has been the increased regulation around short-term rentals, along with a broader shift in public perception which we completely understand.
In response, we’ve adapted our strategy by focusing more on a boutique-style experience and targeting business and corporate clients rather than purely seasonal or tourist demand. This has allowed us to remain stable while aligning with regulatory trends.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We specialize in providing high-quality, fully serviced accommodations designed for professionals and corporate clients who need more than a standard short-term stay. We still do some short-term rentals but more commonly these days, we service mid- to long-term rental clients. We also collaborate with insurance companies and offer our properties for events, as well as film and television productions.
What sets us apart is our boutique approach. We focus on creating unique, thoughtfully designed stays, supported by a portfolio of carefully curated properties in Los Angeles, Napa, the Hamptons, New York, and Paris. Each space is optimized to feel elevated and functional, with a strong attention to detail and design.
Over time, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, discretion, and quality, particularly among clients seeking a more tailored experience. We’ve also adapted to shifts in the market, especially with remote work, by expanding our focus on longer stays, as well as on event and production rentals.
As we expand, we’re excited to bring this same approach to France — something we’ve wanted to do for a while. Now, we are developing services tailored to international clients and second homeowners who require high-quality property management. We welcome homeowners to connect with us as we grow our presence in the South of France.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I would say vision and adaptability have been the most important to my success. The market is constantly evolving, and I’m not afraid to pivot when needed– some examples include remote work and changes in regulation. Being able to anticipate trends while staying flexible has been key.
I also came to hospitality later in life — its my third or fourth career — and I’ve always been traveler. Staying in some of the nicest and more unique spaces, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for what makes a stay truly memorable. I genuinely enjoy creating experiences that people will remember and it’s something that energizes me and drives the way I approach the business.
Finally, I’m fortunate to work with a fantastic team that shares a strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail. That collective mindset has been essential in delivering the level of quality we’re known for.
