Inspiring Conversations with Kristin Mothersbaugh of Cherry Blossom Spirituality

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Mothersbaugh.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
While I was always empathic and interested in otherworldly experiences and had a few as a child, my spiritual awakening truly got moving when my father passed away. At such a pivotal point in my life of being a teenager going into adulthood, I suppressed my grief to focus on my acting career and had a busy social life to keep me avoiding all of it. I delayed grieving with an intense anger at God until I finally cracked open and had to process my emotions. I could not find answers to my spiritual questions through the organized religion of Christianity I grew up with, so I turned to new age spirituality. I just wanted to talk to my father and understand why he had suffered so long from a rare cancer that eventually took his life. Why would God do this to him? I began reading Sylvia Browne books, going to psychics and mediums, attending a Buddhist meditation group, got yoga teaching certified, was gifted my first tarot deck by a Wiccan friend and taught tarot to myself, went to therapy, and became obsessed with ouija boarding for a few years. I began meditating and praying daily and talking with my dad on little nature hikes when not in college classes, parties, work, or theatre rehearsals. I did begin to communicate psychically with my father, and also heal my relationship with Source, my higher self, and spirit guide team. I began to understand why it all happened to him and receive answers to my many questions about the meaning of life. I kept seeking deeper understanding, still am today, and am sure I always will.

I started spiritual work professionally because friends and co-workers happened to be curious about my spirituality, and with my naturally empathic nature and people pleasing tendencies, I was more than happy to help them in any way I could at the time. I saw a way out of soul-sucking customer service day jobs and started working at spiritual shops offering psychic and tarot readings, reiki healings, and teaching yoga and spiritual classes. I always knew ever since I created Cherry Blossom Spirituality that I was meant to make online video content in the long run, but had to build confidence first. I continued getting certified in other skills including Runes, Akashic Records, Shamanic Soul Retrieval, and growing my spiritual knowledge however I could reading many books. Embracing energy healing work really popped open my psychic abilities intensely and I did mediumship work on the daily talking to people’s passed on loved ones. I lived on faith through many years of financial and other struggles while doing very arduous personal shadow work healing on the daily. I wanted to create an online combination service that was holistic assisting other physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically with all my varied skills, but it didn’t take off well and exhausted me. I survived mainly off giving readings, and began to get so compassion fatigued with this work I knew was a stair-step to build confidence with my own intuition and assist others along the way, but was not my calling, and felt so stuck. I then discovered kundalini energy healings one day and fell in love with it. After a few years of receiving as a student and receiving so many benefits to help through through very hard times, I got certified and began offering this passion of mine in-person and online. I realized my Kundalini Transmissions are the combination service I had always wanted to offer, but where the energy gives them what they need holistically with it’s divine intelligence, and I didn’t have to wear myself doing so many different things, so it was so much more enjoyable and sustainable for me. I began to understand spirituality much more deeply, finally overcame imposter syndrome and gained confidence as a spiritual teacher, and wrote and self-published my book entitled “The Role of Kundalini in Awakening and Ascension.” I also started making and acting in my own spiritually awakening films, and created a niche spiritual business called The Elven Temple for those that resonate. All of my passions began to make sense and work together. As I continue working with my own kundalini more and more and be a conduit to assist others with this lovely modality, my life is continually improving. I am very excited to continue to share this life-changing experience and the spiritual knowledge I gave gained with others that resonate to hopefully help theirs to as well.

The future of my business is the growth of my online Kundalini Transmission classes, online spiritual teaching video classes, and being a mouthpiece about kundalini. I am honored to do this work!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road, as I am sure any of you readers on a spiritual path can agree – embracing spiritual awakening is not all sunshine and roses. Spiritual growth requires a bravery of authenticity, self-accountability, self-discipline, divine surrender into the unknown and uncomfortable, healing the deep wounds of the subconscious, and anchoring in positive high frequency love of Source and belief in the self even when the outside world does not reflect this, so it’s quite the undertaking. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t have it’s beautiful blissful moments, and it is all totally worth it all in hindsight, but it is not what I would call easy. I am constantly going through transformational deaths and rebirths on the daily. You get used to it and become more courageous through it all. It’s a whole type of lifestyle! Haha. 🙂

One of the biggest struggles for me personally and professionally in my past on this spiritual and business journey has been exhaustion. I am a very impatient and ambitious person, but all of my personal and professional goals have been slowed immensely by me leaking my energy unknowingly my whole life until now. I naturally care for others and because of childhood trauma, I had created a pattern of unconsciously self-abondoning, putting others above myself in every interaction; allowing others to drain me by holding space for them all of the time even when I was overwhelmed and tired or putting up with abuse. I saw only the good in all others. I did not see the negative affects others had on me. Through many years of darkness, I learned to love myself and value my energy to protect my peace, healed my inability to say no and create boundaries, and began to truly discern to distance and unalign from unhealthy relationships, situations, and environments. I now have a calm and regulated nervous system and a value of my own emotional safety as top priority, an unshakable faith in Source and trust in myself, and am no longer exhausted on the daily. I will always continue healing and growing more, but now life is beginning to become an empowered thriving one of joy where I am now able to manifest big goals and create my dream life.

My business is all about empowering the individual to discern for themselves and trust their own intuition, as that was the biggest and hardest spiritual lesson I went through. I am passionate about the work my business is offering because it upholds a high frequency for the student to attune to where I do not have to lower my frequency; it uplifts them to spiritually grow in a healthy way for both me and them.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is an online one that offers Kundalini Transmissions and spiritual teachings.

Kundalini is the spiritual awakening energy within each of us, and my transmissions are energy healings that assist in one’s spiritual growth. These are a surrender-based energy healing form of working with kundalini where I transmit the frequency of kundalini and allow it to safely flow more. I offer weekly zoom ones online where I provide psychic insights at the end, and also recorded video ones. Energy work is not bound by space or time, so the virtual live ones are just as powerful as in-person live ones, and each time a recorded video one plays, it is just as powerful as an in-person live one. It is written in a very succinct way that is not at all about subjective experiences or using confusing concepts. I boiled down the spiritual wisdom I had gained personally and professionally as clearly as I could to assist those seeking objective spiritual truth. Of course I don’t know everything and this is not the only way of perceiving spiritual truth, but I hope it assists those that are called to it, and I trust it will find those it is meant to.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in luck in the traditional sense ironically, as I don’t believe in coincidences and I believe everything happens for a reason. Everything manifests because of energetic vibrational frequency alignment and soul contract agreements.

That being said, I can now in hindsight see how the “bad luck” always gave wisdom, and the “good luck” always kept me going to keep the faith in myself and Source.
