Inspiring Conversations with J’Tasha St. Cyr of Miss Everything Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to J’Tasha St. Cyr.

Hi J’Tasha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I (J’Tasha st.Cyr) was born in Los Angeles, California and was raised by my New Orleans Creole father and my Belizean Kriol mother. I began performing at the tender age of 4, dancing internationally. At the age of 14, while in high school, I began acting, appearing on the hit TV Show “The Bernie Mac Show”, among others, and just two years later, I began modeling. At the age of 18, upon graduating from Carter High School in Rialto, I started in the social media marketing industry and also started my own entertainment company called St.Cyr Entertainment, which provided small businesses and independent artists with social media marketing. I went on to receive my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entertainment Marketing and a minor in International Business from California State University, Polytechnic of Pomona. Between the age of 21 – 24, I became an assistant manager for music artists on tour in Europe and the United States as well as a Creative Event Decor Manager for high-level events for companies such as AARP, United Airlines, Intel, Mars Candy, National Urban League, and Odyssey Retreat. With my knowledge in marketing and my skills in artist management and event planning, I quickly fell in love with producing and directing films and television shows.

Eight years ago, at the age of 24, I worked as the on- camera program director and producer of Stevie Wonder’s KJLH 102.3 Radio Show, Project Pit formerly known as The Spotlight LA. I wouldn’t be Miss Everything Entertainment without film and TV. With this love for producing and directing, I was able to secure an amazing opportunity working with the independent director Jean Claude Lamarre. While working with Jean Claude and his company, I co-produced three movies and assisted him with opening the first all-black male revue in Las Vegas called Black Magic Live. Since 2020, I have been the director of special operations for the Pan-American film Festival. My company sets itself apart from the competition by being a female-owned “one-stop shop” for the entertainment industry. While most companies focus on one area of the industry, my company specializes in film and TV, event planning, and music production. With all my experience in every area of entertainment, I was quickly known as Miss Everything Entertainment.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a CEO has not always been a smooth road. My biggest struggle would probably be telling people NO! It’s hard for me to tell others NO, time management is crucial to making my company successful while also building and branding all other companies and systems.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Miss Everything Entertainment?
Miss Everything Entertainment is an entertainment company which provides services for entertainers in Music, Film & TV, and Events. If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The qualities that most define myself and my business are integrity and respect, which are hard to come by in today’s business world. I also pride myself in having a go-getter mindset, but I am also willing to learn from those who I know have more experience in the field than I do. My personal qualities of loyalty, selflessness, and boldness are not only reflected by my personality but also in my business endeavors.
