Inspiring Conversations with Hanna Silva of Mother of Healing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanna Silva.

Hi Hanna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I come from a beautiful blended Latino family. My parents originally from the north of Mexico, Sinaloa and Chihuahua. I was born in Bellflower, California, however, was raised in the city of roses Pasadena. I got married fairly young and my husband and I struggled to have a family having issues with infertility. We were married 13 years when we were super blessed to have our first child within two years we had both of our lovely daughters. My last daughter was during the pandemic. I struggled with mental health after giving birth to my daughter. As a family, we had lost many family during the pandemic, and I was struggling with postpartum anxiety and depression. In my local community, there was a Night Market recently opening and I inquired about having a vendor vacancy and they allowed me to vent in May 2021. A decided to sell crystals, incense, little red bracelets, spiritual accessories, things that I had always loved and found to help me throughout all my life healing stones and little red bracelets had always been used while I was growing up predominantly on my mother side of the family. My mom has always been in tune with her spirituality and has shared that with all of her kids. I continue to vent in farmers market special events, carnivals, and night markets. I’ve always loved talking and being a social butterfly. Vending has really allowed me to find myself and really see that I am capable of doing so much and my confidence and my mental health has grown and improved so much. One of my biggest dreams is to have a storefront where my daughters can eventually take over and my husband and I can continue vending at different events.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of the struggles have been my mental health. I still struggle with depression, an anxiety,
The constant increase in vendor fees for events have skyrocketed.
And on a personal level, my kiddos are still very young and I predominantly take care of them so finding childcare while I work events, I have had to miss out on opportunities due to childcare
I’ve also had to hold back on my dream of being a storefront business due to all the unsureness of what’s happening in the government in the world the economy it makes me feel very unsure of taking the leap and doing something so big like buckling down and getting a storefront

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I saw spiritually accessories and one of my favorite things to share with folks is ‘you are your own healer’. I really love having a safe space where folks can come and feel comfortable with asking questions seeing a little bit of familiar and unfamiliar items that called to their attention such as crystals Stone’s Sun dream, catchers, incense, fidgeting rings, and Crystal jewelry.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I feel giving folks a comfortable and nonjudgmental space where they can explore their spirituality and intuition to find items that really call to them and unconsciously or subconsciously folks pick items that hold a vibration and energy that they need.
