Inspiring Conversations with Camryn Padilla of The Glow Chateau

Today we’d like to introduce you to Camryn Padilla.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always been drawn to all things beauty, fashion, and self-expression. Makeup was never just makeup to me — it was confidence, creativity, and a way to make both myself and the people around me feel beautiful. I loved getting ready, experimenting with different looks, and seeing how something as simple as beauty could completely transform someone’s energy. That passion stayed with me all throughout my childhood and eventually led me to cosmetology school right after high school.

Like so many people, my journey took an unexpected turn during COVID. Halfway through cosmetology school, everything shut down. What was supposed to be such an exciting chapter suddenly became filled with uncertainty, delays, and waiting. But even through the pause, I held onto the vision I had for myself. Once the world slowly opened back up, I went back, finished school, and earned my license.

After graduating, though, life pulled me in a different direction for a while. I found myself craving quick human connection, fast-paced environments, and immediate income, which led me into the hospitality industry. For years, I worked long nights, weekends, holidays, loved one’s birthdays — constantly pouring into everyone else’s experiences while quietly putting my own dreams on hold. Hospitality taught me so much about people, service, and creating memorable experiences, but deep down I knew it wasn’t the life I wanted forever.

One day, I honestly just woke up and realized I couldn’t ignore that feeling anymore. I knew I wanted more for myself. I wanted a future I was proud of, one that aligned with my purpose, creativity, and passion. I didn’t want to keep delaying the dream that had been living inside me since I was a little girl.

The moment I made that decision, everything started moving quickly. I began searching for salon suites, creating business plans, building my vision, and pouring my heart into every detail. I wanted to create something elevated, intentional, feminine, and luxurious. An experience where beauty meets wellness and every client feels taken care of from the moment they walk in.

That vision became The Glow Chateau.

The Glow Chateau is more than just a hair business to me — it’s a luxury scalp and hair wellness experience rooted in confidence, self-care, and transformation. I wanted to create a space that feels soft, calming, elevated, and empowering all at once. A place where women can slow down, invest in themselves, and leave glowing from the inside out.

Looking back now, every chapter of my journey had a purpose. The setbacks, the pauses, the years spent in hospitality — all of it shaped me into the business owner I am today. And while the road wasn’t perfectly linear, I truly believe I ended up exactly where I was always meant to be.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth journey and honestly, I think that’s what makes The Glow Chateau so meaningful to me. What people see now is the polished, luxurious aesthetic, but behind the scenes there were countless late nights, stressful moments, sacrifices, and a lot of faith involved in bringing this vision to life.

The moving and building process alone was overwhelming at times. Every single detail of the space was built and put together by me and my significant other. Every shelf, frame, piece of furniture, décor element — all of it was assembled with our own hands. There were so many nights we stayed up until 2 a.m. trying to finish projects, organize the suite, and make everything feel exactly how I envisioned it. It was exhausting, but at the same time so rewarding because every corner of The Glow Chateau truly has a piece of us in it.

Financially, it was also a huge leap of faith. I poured most of my savings into starting this business with little return in the beginning. Coming from hospitality, I was used to quick money and immediate income, so shifting into entrepreneurship was a major mindset change for me. I had to become comfortable with the idea of slow building — planting seeds now for the future I know I’m creating. That’s been one of the hardest but most important lessons throughout this process.

There are also so many things people don’t always talk about when starting a business, like taxes, expenses, marketing, and the pressure of wearing every hat yourself. It can feel overwhelming trying to balance being the owner, the creative director, the service provider, the social media manager, and everything in between.

But through every obstacle, I’ve learned to trust the process and trust myself. Even on the hard days, I remind myself why I started this in the first place. The Glow Chateau was built from passion, resilience, and the belief that creating something meaningful takes time. And while I’m still growing, I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come already.

As you know, we’re big fans of The Glow Chateau . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Glow Chateau is a luxury scalp and hair wellness suite designed to be a calming escape — a place where clients can slow down and unwind in a world that moves so fast. My goal was to create an experience that feels elevated, feminine, relaxing, and welcoming from the moment someone walks through the door.

What sets The Glow Chateau apart is the overall experience and intention behind it. I wanted it to feel like more than just a beauty appointment. I wanted it to feel like a true wellness experience. Every detail of the space and brand was built with love and purpose, and I’m most proud that it genuinely reflects my passion for beauty, wellness, and making people feel their best inside and out.

At the heart of it all, The Glow Chateau is about creating a space where people can relax, recharge, and leave feeling beautiful, confident, and cared for.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I think both good luck and bad luck have played a role in shaping who I am, both personally and in business. Looking back, there were moments that felt like setbacks at the time — like COVID shutting down cosmetology school halfway through, or spending years in hospitality instead of immediately pursuing my passion, but now I can see that those experiences taught me resilience, patience, and people skills that I use every single day as a business owner.

I also feel lucky to have had such a strong passion from a young age. Not everyone knows what they love to do, and beauty has always come naturally to me. I’ve been lucky to have supportive friends and family around me, especially my significant other, who helped me physically build The Glow Chateau from the ground up and believed in the vision with me even during stressful moments and uncertainty.

At the same time, entrepreneurship comes with a lot of risk and sacrifice. There have definitely been moments where things didn’t happen as quickly as I hoped or where I questioned myself financially and mentally. But I truly believe that sometimes what feels like “bad luck” is actually redirection or preparation for something bigger.

More than luck, I think consistency, faith, and trusting yourself are what really carry you through. Every challenge has pushed me closer to creating the life and business I always dreamed of.
