Hi Anthony, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My entrepreneurial journey kicked off at 24 when I opened my first salon in Orlando, FL, with my partners. Over the next eight years, we grew into three thriving salons. To promote our business, my team and I hosted an array of exciting events across Central Florida, from fashion shows and charity events to unforgettable client appreciation soirées. Through these vibrant experiences, I discovered my true passion for bringing people together and crafting memorable events.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The Motion Flix journey has been anything but smooth, marked by numerous challenges along the way. When we launched in Orlando in 2020, we quickly realized that Central Florida’s unpredictable weather wasn’t ideal for our outdoor events. This challenge led us to expand to Southern California, where the weather is perfect for outdoor movies. And really, what better place than the land of film?

Another significant hurdle was building a new type of screen rental experience that had not been done before. We aimed to set ourselves apart by integrating event planning, services, food, and seating options into the already thriving screen rental industry. We conducted extensive research and faced some trial-and-error difficulties while crafting the perfect business model. Our objective was to be more cost-effective than the average screen rental company while delivering a five-star level of service throughout the event. Through perseverance and by building our dream team, we ultimately figured out how to provide what I can confidently say is the best level of service and experience for our clients.

We offer a full five-star event planning service, guiding our clients through every step from the initial planning phase, including customizing invitations and marketing materials, to conducting a walkthrough of the space to align with the client’s vision. On the event day, our team manages the full event, from checking guests in to capturing content of the night for social media, all included for our clients.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory has to be the get-togethers my family would host for friends and family. I vividly remember my mom and dad spending the morning preparing the house, listening to music, and eagerly anticipating the arrival of our guests. These gatherings were always filled with so much joy and were truly the times when I felt the happiest—surrounded by people we loved and new friends, enjoying every moment together. I believe this is where my passion for bringing people together started.
