Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyson Suzuki. Tyson and team share their story with us below.
Please kick things off for us with some background on the story.
Tyflux is a creative house driven to “Ideate, Create, and Deliver” attractive visual media. We thrive off meaningful stories that authentically speak to the chosen audience. Our approach is simple never to be easily amused when it comes to visual storytelling. We are a black-owned business that started after Tyson Suzuki left the corporate entertainment world with an idea to create without boundaries. Today, we’re an award-winning media company that’s thriving to elevate our client’s expectations.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to success is challenging, especially when we seek excellence. Prior to COVID19, we were able to attain and retain clients regularly. However, since then… It’s been a bit of a challenge to get clients to even meet and follow through with projects after we submit the proposals. Since George Floyd and the BLM movement, recently we’ve been thriving in the activism news space with a project called Active Advocate. This media movement is designed to provide a platform to “tell stories worth fighting for.” Our biggest base is currently on Instagram.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about Tyflux?
We’re not like most vendors, we value the idea of ethical business. I’m an intersectional activist. This empowers our organization to produce considerate and meaningful deliverables. Our clients span from Disney, Playboy, Dollskill, Universal Records, and Hourglass cosmetics. We take a client’s goal and meld it into a meaningful experience for the chosen target audience. We specialize in commercials, television promos, fashion films, digital content, and music videos. Recently, I created an activist news platform that has grown exponentially on social media during the BLM movement. We’ve raised 20k for a protester in a wheelchair who got beat by the police. With the help of volunteers, we’ve issued 3576 COVID safety kits for Skid Row. We’ve facilitated more than 2k letters of justice for the prosecution of the killer of Breonna Taylor. In 2020, we were nominated by the International Fashion Film Awards in 5 categories and won one for the film “Rory”.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My team is a tribe of moxie creatives and edgy storytellers. I want to thank my elders (you know who you are) and especially John Aguon, Kevin Buchli, Stephen Williams, Sammy McEntire, Adrian Ayetis and the rest of the team. Love Ya’ll
