I am a California native and founded Notary Livescan CA in 2023 to help make notarization and fingerprinting services easier. I started my business with the intention of making professional services more accessible with 24/7 appointment availability and affordable mobile services. I became a specialized notary to offer an array of services ranging from loan signings to apostille agent assistance to issuing confidential marriage licenses. Our Culver City office has a wedding chapel so we can offer instant same-day weddings. A week after becoming ordained as a minister, an injured dove crashed into my office and needed help. He has now been domesticated and wears tuxedos to the weddings. My dogs also love to come to work to greet our customers. I enjoy helping people and making sure our customers receive top quality service when they come into our office. I have a new website EasyNotaryUSA.com that will make it easy to instantly dispatch a mobile notary or connect with a USA notary online from anywhere in the world. The website is expected to launch by the end of October 2026.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always a lot of small logistical issues to sort out when you’re starting a new business. It’s important to create a process and flow that provide a smooth customer service experience. It’s also important to create an organized way of maintaining your business records. It can be difficult to balance your time between tending to customers, managing business obligations, and creating strategic marketing content. One of the most important things is finding a good location, where your business can stand out and have fewer competitors in the area. A physical brick-and-mortar office can be costly but there are benefits and customers tend to feel like your business is more established when there’s an office for them to visit. It can also be timely to conduct research about your competitors and how other businesses are doing well, but it really does make a difference. It can definitely be tricky finding different ways to stand out with marketing especially in this digital age.

Notary Livescan CA offers notary and fingerprinting services across the greater Los Angeles area. We also offer passport photos and an array of office services including printing, laminating, shredding, and mail courier services.

NLCA’s fingerprinting technicians offer ink card and digital live scan fingerprinting services. We provide customers quality care to ensure they get the best fingerprints possible. We provide FD-258 and FD-1164 ink cards and pay extra so most customers do not need rolling fingerprints for their digital live scan fingerprints.

We offer specialized notary services, including loan signing agent and apostille agent services. NLCA also offers confidential marriage licenses on behalf of the County Clerk and ordained wedding services to offer a smooth and simple marriage.

Our wedding chapel offers a beautiful and easy wedding experience. We have a dove in a tuxedo and he is domesticated enough to hold. The benefit with a confidential marriage license is that all the couple needs are their valid government issued photo IDs. We offer an intimate experience with scented rose petals and romantic keepsake photos to really make the experience feel magical.

We also offer passport and visa photos in a variety of sizes, whereas most other places only offer the standard 2×2 passport photos.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think that there will always be a need for a background checks and identity verification. I don’t see this role becoming digitized because it’s so important to have a human double checking IDs and witnessing the signing of documents and obtaining fingerprint impressions.
