Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacie Sansone.
Hi Stacie , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got into pediatric sleep consulting after my own experience navigating infant sleep, which quickly showed me how much conflicting and overwhelming information exists for parents. That experience led me to want a much deeper understanding of what was actually driving infant and toddler sleep patterns from a developmental and biological standpoint, not just surface level advice.
From there, I committed to extensive education in pediatric sleep science. I studied infant and toddler sleep development, circadian rhythm maturation, sleep cycles, and the neurological and behavioral factors that influence sleep in the early years. I invested significant time learning evidence based, research driven sleep shaping and sleep training methodologies, as well as how to apply them in a developmentally appropriate and responsive way. My focus was always on understanding the “why” behind sleep, not just the “what to do.”
As I continued my education, I also began applying what I was learning with real families. That combination of science based learning and hands on implementation is what shaped my approach today. I saw how important it is to take clinical knowledge and translate it into practical, individualized support that actually works in real life environments with real family dynamics.
Today, through Sleep Purely Baby, I work as a pediatric sleep consultant supporting families using a foundation rooted in sleep science and development. My approach is highly individualized, because no two babies are the same, and I focus on giving parents clear, evidence-based strategies that feel doable, supportive, and aligned with their child’s developmental stage.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges in this space is how much conflicting information exists around infant and toddler sleep. Even with a strong foundation in pediatric sleep science, I had to learn how to translate that knowledge into guidance that feels clear, practical, and supportive for exhausted parents who are often feeling overwhelmed and unsure who to trust.
Another challenge was stepping into a field where every baby is so different. Real life doesn’t always follow textbook examples, so I had to learn how to take evidence-based principles and adapt them to a wide range of temperaments, feeding situations, developmental stages, and family dynamics. That kind of nuance only really comes with experience.
On the business side, like many in this space, building trust and visibility was also a process. Helping families understand the value of personalized sleep support and what a true pediatric sleep approach looks like took time, consistency, and a lot of education through my content and client work.
Each of those challenges ultimately shaped my approach in a positive way. They pushed me to refine how I communicate, how I assess each family’s situation, and how I create plans that are both science based and realistically sustainable for parents.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Sleep Purely Baby is a pediatric sleep consulting practice that specializes in creating highly individualized, developmentally informed sleep support for infants and toddlers. At the core of my work is 1:1 consulting, where I build custom sleep plans tailored to each child’s age, temperament, feeding needs, and family dynamics. No two plans look the same, because no two babies are the same.
My approach is rooted in pediatric sleep science, including infant sleep development, circadian rhythm maturation, and evidence based sleep shaping strategies. I take what is backed by research and translate it into practical, step by step guidance that parents can actually implement in real life. I spend a lot of time not just creating a plan but also walking alongside families through the process so they feel supported and confident in how they respond to their child.
What sets my work apart is the level of customization and hands on support. I am not offering a one size fits all method or a rigid program. I am looking at the full picture of the child and the family and building something that is realistic, responsive, and sustainable. My focus is always on teaching parents the “why” behind sleep so they feel empowered long after our work together ends.
Alongside my 1:1 work, I also partner with brands that align with my values in the parenting and early childhood space. These collaborations are very intentional and focused on products and resources that genuinely support families in the newborn and toddler years. I see these partnerships as an extension of my education work, helping parents access tools that complement healthy sleep and overall wellness.
What I am most proud of is the trust families place in me during such a vulnerable season. Sleep deprivation impacts every part of a household, and being invited into that space is something I do not take lightly. Hearing from parents that they feel more confident, more rested, and more connected to their baby again is the most meaningful part of my work.
At its core, Sleep Purely Baby is about more than sleep. It is about helping parents feel supported, informed, and capable during a stage that can often feel overwhelming and giving them tools that truly fit their baby and their life.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
What has worked well for me is being very intentional about seeking out people who are already doing the kind of work I respect, especially those whose approach is rooted in pediatric sleep science and who prioritize individualized support over one size fits all methods.
In the beginning, I spent a lot of time quietly learning first. That meant studying reputable sleep educators, attending trainings, and really understanding the foundational science so I could speak the same language as professionals in the field. Once I had that base, I felt more confident reaching out.
When it comes to mentorship and networking, what has worked best is being specific and genuine rather than broad. Instead of just asking for mentorship, I would reach out with thoughtful questions, share what I was currently learning or working on, and express why I valued their perspective specifically. That tends to open much more meaningful conversations than general outreach.
Instagram has also been a huge part of networking in this space. Engaging consistently with other professionals, showing up authentically in conversations, and supporting others’ work has naturally led to relationships over time. A lot of opportunities and connections have come from simply being visible and consistent in a professional way within the same niche.
Brand partnerships have also played a role in expanding my network. Working with aligned companies has connected me with other professionals in the parenting and early childhood space, which has led to collaborations and introductions that I would not have had otherwise.
Overall, what I have learned is that strong networking in this field is less about quick outreach and more about building credibility, showing up consistently, and forming relationships based on shared values in child development and family support.
