Hidden Gems: Meet Roger Sayegh of Set Free Bail Bonds / Angel Alert

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roger Sayegh.

Hi Roger, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Roger J. Sayegh
Co-Founder, Angel Alert™ • Owner, Set Free Bail Bonds
Roger J. Sayegh is a visionary entrepreneur and the driving force behind Angel Alert. As the owner of Set Free Bail Bonds, he’s spent years restoring freedom, reuniting families, and delivering integrity-driven service in critical moments. Recognizing the need to protect and empower both clients and the bail community, Roger authored Adversity Is a Lie — a powerful guide to overcoming obstacles, building resilience, and achieving success in the face of life’s hardest challenges.
In 2018, Roger took his advocacy to the California State Senate race, running to represent and defend the bail industry against legislation threatening its future. His dedication to justice and community protection is at the heart of Angel Alert—a platform that ensures transparency, safety, and accountability for both bail agents and clients alike.
At Angel Alert, Roger’s commitment is clear: to provide a network that builds trust, safeguards families, and upholds the integrity of the industry. Follow Roger’s journey on Instagram and Facebook for more insights on leadership, faith, and how Angel Alert is transforming lives—one family at a time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Roger J. Sayegh’s journey has been shaped by real adversity, from multiple brain surgeries to navigating high-pressure, life-or-death decisions in the bail industry. As the owner of Set Free Bail Bonds, he built his business by earning trust in critical moments, helping families when they needed it most.

Professionally, he faced major industry challenges, including legislation like California Senate Bill 10 that threatened the future of bail. Instead of backing down, he ran for State Senate in 2018 to defend the industry and the communities it serves.

Angel Alert™ was born from those experiences—solving real problems like lack of transparency and delayed communication in urgent situations. His book, Adversity Is a Lie, reflects the same principle: adversity isn’t the barrier, it’s the training ground.

His process is simple: face challenges head-on, operate with purpose under pressure, and build solutions that truly help people.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Set Free Bail Bonds / Angel Alert ?
Roger J. Sayegh operates at the intersection of service, innovation, and purpose through three core pillars: Set Free Bail Bonds, Angel Alert™, and his book Adversity Is a Lie.

Set Free Bail Bonds is built on one mission: restoring freedom and stabilizing families in critical moments. We specialize in high-touch, integrity-driven bail services—handling complex, high-value bonds while guiding clients through one of the most stressful situations of their lives. What sets us apart is our approach: we don’t just process transactions, we provide solutions, structure, and real support when it matters most.

Angel Alert™ is the evolution of that experience. It’s a technology platform designed to bring transparency, speed, and accountability to the bail industry. By connecting bail agents, attorneys, and the public in real time, Angel Alert ensures that no one is left in the dark during urgent situations. We’re solving a major gap in the system—communication and access—while elevating the standard of the entire industry.

Adversity Is a Lie represents the mindset behind both ventures. It’s not theory—it’s a blueprint built from lived experience. The book focuses on resilience, faith, discipline, and execution, teaching people how to turn obstacles into leverage and step into their full potential.

What truly sets the brand apart is alignment: every piece—service, technology, and message—serves the same purpose. We stand for trust, execution under pressure, and delivering real solutions that impact lives.

What I’m most proud of is that this isn’t just a business—it’s a mission-driven ecosystem. We’re not only helping people in crisis, we’re building systems that protect them, empower them, and ultimately change how the industry operates.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck has played a role—but not in the way most people think.

There have been moments of what people would call “bad luck”: major health battles, including multiple brain surgeries, financial pressure, and operating in an industry constantly under threat from legislation like California Senate Bill 10. On paper, those look like setbacks. In reality, they became defining moments that built resilience, sharpened decision-making, and forced growth.

On the flip side, “good luck” has shown up as timing, relationships, and opportunities—meeting the right people, being in position to serve clients in critical moments, and recognizing the need for something bigger, which ultimately led to Angel Alert™.

But the truth is, luck has never been the driver. Preparation, faith, and execution have been. The ability to stay consistent under pressure, take action when others hesitate, and turn adversity into opportunity—that’s what created results.

So while luck may open a door or create a challenge, what matters is what you do with it. In my life and business, adversity wasn’t bad luck—it was the training ground.
