Today we’d like to introduce you to Rigo Guerra.
Hi Rigo, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Peru and moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee when I was five, then to California at twenty one. Growing up in different places taught me adaptability early and shaped how I approach life.
After moving to California, I joined Orangetheory Fitness and eventually became a studio manager in Newport Beach. In that role, I discovered how much I loved supporting people through change, helping them stay consistent, and creating an environment where they felt confident showing up for themselves. Leading a team and building relationships with members showed me the impact of structure, encouragement, and trust.
At 28, that passion evolved into financial planning. I realized the same principles applied: people don’t need pressure or judgment, they need clarity, guidance, and someone who genuinely cares about their long-term success. That realization set me on the path I’m on today, still focused on growth, leadership, and helping others build confidence in their future.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It wasn’t a smooth road. Moving across the country meant losing my support system and starting from zero. Putting myself in vulnerable situations forced growth, and that process is what ultimately built my confidence.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Guerra Financial?
Guerra Financial is a comprehensive financial planning practice built around clarity, education, and trust. We specialize in working with individuals, families, and business owners who want to be intentional about building, protecting, and growing their wealth but may not have had access to clear financial guidance in the past.
What sets us apart is our people-first approach. We focus on meeting clients where they are, removing judgment from the conversation, and breaking complex financial topics into practical, understandable steps. Our work spans risk management, wealth building, and long-term planning, but at its core, it’s about helping people feel confident and in control of their financial decisions.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is that our growth has been driven almost entirely by trust and referrals. Clients come to us not because of flashy promises, but because they value transparency, education, and a long-term partnership. I want readers to know that Guerra Financial is built on the belief that financial planning isn’t just for the wealthy, it’s for anyone who wants clarity, stability, and freedom in their life.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is trust and how it’s built over time. Growing up in different places and starting over more than once taught me that trust isn’t given, it’s earned through consistency, integrity, and follow-through.
Integrity and accountability guide how I show up, even when it’s uncomfortable. If I say I’m going to do something, I believe in honoring that commitment, because reliability creates safety in any relationship. Empathy matters to me because everyone is carrying something you can’t see, and people deserve to feel understood before they’re advised.
Finally, growth is a non-negotiable for me. I believe in continually learning, improving, and challenging myself so I can show up better for the people around me. Those values shape not just my work, but how I live my life and build meaningful relationships.
