Hi Maria , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been interested in media, marketing, and digital storytelling, especially how brands connect with people online and build strong communities. Early on, I focused on learning through hands-on experience with content creation, social media, and marketing campaigns, which helped me understand what drives growth and engagement.
That journey led me to Breathe Media, where I’ve been able to combine creativity and strategy in the health and wellness space. I help grow brand awareness, support event producers and partnerships, and highlight trending wellness spaces, fitness concepts, sports, and experiences that are shaping the wellness community.
Overall, my journey has been about continuously learning, adapting, and working on projects that make a real impact.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been completely smooth, one challenge has been keeping up with how quickly the digital space changes.
Early on, there was also a lot of trial and error in figuring out what actually drives results, along with balancing multiple projects.
But those challenges really helped me become more adaptable and strategic over time
We’ve been impressed with Breathe Media Network., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Breathe Media is a media company focused on the health, wellness, and sports space. We help brands build their digital presence through content, social media, and partnerships that genuinely connect with their audience, and we also operate a ticketing platform that supports events and experiences in this space. While we’re based in LA, we also have a presence in other major cities like Miami, Atlanta, New York and others.
A big part of what makes us different is that we don’t just promote experiences, we actually curate them. We try things ourselves first so we can share real, honest perspectives, almost like a trusted review. That approach helps us create more authentic content and also encourages our audience to stay active and prioritize a healthy lifestyle.
As Director of Social Media, I lead our overall social strategy, from content direction to campaign execution, making sure we’re building strong engagement, growing communities, and staying true to each brand’s voice.
What I’m most proud of is the authenticity behind everything we put out. At the end of the day, Breathe Media is about helping brands grow while also inspiring people to live healthier, more active lives
What’s next?
Looking ahead, we’re focused on continuing to grow Breathe Media within the health, wellness, and sports space, especially expanding our ticketing platform and strengthening our partnerships.
Rather than hosting events ourselves, we’re really focused on supporting event producers by helping them reach the right audiences, increase visibility, and drive attendance through our platform and media presence.
We’re also looking to keep growing our digital community and continuing to promote a healthy, active lifestyle through the content and experiences we highlight.
Overall, we’re excited to keep scaling the brand, building strong partnerships, and playing a bigger role in connecting people to meaningful experiences
