Today we’d like to introduce you to June
Hi June, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my career in design, but over time, I realized I was craving something more connected to movement and well-being. Pilates came into my life as a way to strengthen my body and mind, and it quickly became a passion that’s deeply integrated into my daily life. The more I practiced, the more I saw how transformative Pilates was—not just physically, but emotionally too. It gave me a sense of balance and clarity I’d been missing.
I knew I wanted to share this practice with others and create a space where people of all fitness levels and body types could feel supported and empowered on their own wellness journey. Starting the studio had its challenges—finding the perfect location, building a community, and navigating the complexities of a city like LA—but every step was worth it.
Now, Pilates is a central part of who I am, and I’m so proud to have built a place where others can experience that same strength and confidence. Watching people transform, both physically and mentally, is one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. I’m excited to see where we go next and continue growing this incredible community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely been a winding road—nothing about this journey has been smooth, but that’s part of what makes it so rewarding. I came from a design background, and while I loved the creativity of that field, I knew I wanted something that connected me more to people and to movement. Transitioning into the Pilates world was a leap of faith, and in the beginning, it felt like there was so much to learn. Pilates, running a business, and managing a team—there were a lot of new skills to develop, and I didn’t have all the answers.
Like any entrepreneur, there were moments of doubt. Building a client base, creating the right environment, and simply getting the word out in a city as busy and competitive as LA posed its challenges. But what kept me going was the belief that this studio could be a place where people feel truly seen, heard, and empowered. When you’re working on something you love and are passionate about, the struggles feel worth it, especially when you get to witness the transformation in your clients—seeing them gain strength, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment. That’s the magic that keeps me inspired.
So while the road wasn’t always easy, it’s been filled with lessons, growth, and incredible people. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
