Hi Joe, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We started selling Lab-Grown Diamonds years ago when it was not even popular yet and slowly became well renowned in the industry. We currently sell to a lot of retail stores in the US and sell directly to consumers too.
We started from a small shop in Downtown Los Angeles and slowly grew to three locations in the US.
Our collection consists mainly of Lab-Grown Diamond Engagement Rings and Loose Lab-Grown Diamonds.
We came up with the idea because of the inconsistency there is in Natural Diamonds and the negative impact it has on our society.
We believe that lab-grown Diamonds will soon take over the jewelry industry completely. Customers are paying less for the same material and in fact, are able to afford bigger and higher quality diamonds.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Our main obstacle was that most people saw Lab-grown Diamonds as diamonds that had no value when in fact, because of the rise in popularity, the value is just going up. We also faced a lot of backlash from jewelers who say that Lab-Grown and Man-made Diamonds are disturbing the natural diamonds industry. We stayed strong and kept educating customer by customers and even many jewelers who became our loyal clients.
We’ve been impressed with Karaters, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Karaters was established on selling Lab-Grown Diamonds at wholesale pricing directly to consumers. As we got more and more popular, we started specializing in Engagement Rings. We specialize in Loose Lab-grown Diamonds, Engagement Rings, and Tennis Jewelry.
Our biggest accomplishment has been regulating the costs of these diamonds by offering a price beat on Lab-Grown Diamond in the entire US.
We want our customers to feel confident that by shopping with us, we will make sure they get a fair market value and purchase a forever-lasting diamond that has not negatively impacted anyone while being produced.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Me and my sister have been partners for over 20 years and have been doing business in good faith. We completely owe all our accomplishments to our parents who have raised us with great ethics and business values. Our parents and grandparents have been in this industry for years and we have seen so many scenarios where they would give up huge sums of money in turn for being truthful and honest to their clients. Without their help, we would not be in this industry and definitely not as successful as we are today.
