Today we’d like to introduce you to Gisela Prishker.
Gisela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
“I’m the founder and CEO of Alliance Senior Placement, a company built on the belief that this work is about real human connection, not just transactions. My journey didn’t start in a straight line—I’ve always been a creative at heart, deeply connected to art, photography, and storytelling. But no matter what I was doing, there was always one common thread: helping people and especially empowering women.
Before launching Alliance, I gained extensive experience in the senior placement industry, where I learned not just the business, but the emotional side of supporting families through some of their most vulnerable moments. Over time, I realized I wanted to build something of my own—something more aligned with my values of integrity, compassion, and partnership. That’s how Alliance was born.
Today, I’m proud to lead a growing company while also mentoring and working alongside incredible women, including two close collaborators who are part of this journey with me. Empowerment isn’t just something I talk about—it’s something I actively create through opportunities, leadership, and support.
At the same time, I continue to express myself through art and photography, and even there, my focus remains the same: telling stories, lifting others up, and highlighting strength, beauty, and resilience—especially in women.
For me, success isn’t just about building a business. It’s about building people, creating impact, and inspiring others to step into their power.”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—and honestly, I don’t think any meaningful journey ever is.
Like many founders, I built this during a very transitional time in my life. I was going through a personal chapter that required a lot of emotional strength and clarity, while at the same time stepping into entrepreneurship, which comes with its own pressure and uncertainty. Starting a business means making decisions every day without guarantees, learning as you go, and trusting yourself even when things feel unclear.
There were moments of doubt, moments where I had to rebuild—not just professionally, but personally. I had to redefine what I wanted my life and my work to look like. And that process isn’t always easy, but it’s incredibly powerful.
One of the biggest challenges was shifting from working within an established structure to creating my own. That meant building systems, relationships, and a reputation from the ground up—while staying true to my values of integrity and genuine care.
But those challenges shaped me. They made me more resilient, more focused, and more intentional about the kind of leader I want to be. Today, I don’t see those struggles as setbacks—I see them as the foundation of everything I’ve built.
And that’s something I always share with other women: you don’t need a perfect path to build something powerful—you just need the courage to keep going.”
We’ve been impressed with Alliance Senior Placement, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
“Alliance Senior Placement is a senior placement company dedicated to guiding families through one of the most important and emotional decisions of their lives—finding the right care for their loved ones.
What we do goes far beyond providing options. We specialize in truly understanding each family’s unique situation—medical, emotional, and financial—and aligning them with the right community, whether that’s independent living, assisted living, or memory care. We act as a trusted partner throughout the entire process, from the first conversation to the actual move-in and beyond.
What sets us apart is our approach. We lead with empathy, transparency, and efficiency. In an industry where families often feel overwhelmed, we bring clarity and calm. We don’t believe in transactional placements—we believe in building relationships and advocating for our clients as if they were our own family.
We’re also known for our responsiveness and our strong network of trusted communities. Because of the relationships we’ve built, we’re able to open doors, get faster answers, and create smoother transitions for families.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is that Alliance truly reflects who I am: partnership, integrity, and empowerment. The name ‘Alliance’ isn’t just a brand—it’s a philosophy. We’re in this together with our families, our partners, and our team.
At the same time, art and photography have always been—and will continue to be—a big part of my life. It’s another way I express purpose and impact. Through my creative work, I focus on storytelling, highlighting strength, beauty, and resilience—especially in women. In many ways, both my business and my art are connected by the same mission: to uplift, empower, and make people feel seen.
I’m also proud that we are building a company that empowers women. I work closely with women on my team, mentoring them, helping them grow professionally, and showing them what’s possible when you step into leadership and ownership.
What I want readers to know is that when they come to Alliance, they’re not just getting a service—they’re gaining an advocate, a guide, and a team that genuinely cares. We don’t just place people—we change experiences during some of life’s most vulnerable moments.”
How do you define success?
“Success, to me, is alignment. It’s building a life and a business that truly reflect who you are. Of course, growth and results matter—but real success is when you can create impact, help others, and still feel fulfilled and at peace with yourself.
For me, success also means having the freedom to enjoy the simple, meaningful parts of life—being present with my family and friends, and even having the time to walk my dog every day. Those moments are just as important as any professional achievement.
If I’m empowering people, supporting families through meaningful moments, creating opportunities for the women around me to grow, and staying connected to my creativity through art and photography—while also having that balance in my personal life—then I know I’m truly successful.”
