Hidden Gems: Meet Christina Sarian of Next Home Grandview – Sarian Real Estate Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Sarian.

Hi Christina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born in 1982, my life began in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, a melting pot of cultures that perfectly mirrors my own diverse heritage. I am the daughter of immigrant parents—my father, of Serbian Macedonian descent, and my mother, who carries the rich legacies of Macedonian, French, and Italian roots. My father immigrated to the United States from Serbia, while my mother journeyed from Cairo, each bringing with them stories of resilience and hope.

I grew up in Atwater Village, a charming neighborhood in Los Angeles that served as the backdrop for my childhood. My parents worked tirelessly to build a good life for our family, emphasizing the importance of education, hard work, and community. Their sacrifices inspired me to pursue my dreams diligently, shaping my identity and purpose from a young age.

Life in Atwater Village was colorful and dynamic, filled with the sights and sounds of a city that never sleeps. I navigated the challenges of being a first-generation American, often torn between my multicultural roots and the desire to fit in with my peers. Yet, these experiences were invaluable, instilling in me a deep appreciation for diversity and the beauty that comes from different backgrounds. I attended John Marshall high school in the silverlake area and later attended Glendale Community college and transferring to California State University, Los Angeles obtaining an Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and an Option in Business Management. Having spent most of my 20 year career in Commercial Real Estate working for some of the biggest firms and brokers in the nation.

Today, I am proud to call myself a real estate agent, providing guidance and support to families seeking their own homes in the foothill areas of Glendale and La Crescenta. Having lived in this community for over a decade, I have witnessed firsthand the changes and growth that have taken place. My work allows me to connect with people from all walks of life, helping them achieve their dreams of homeownership—a journey that resonates deeply with my own family’s story.

My husband, Antranik Sarian, is also a testament to the strength of immigrant families. A first-generation American, his Armenian family was displaced from Russia, carrying their heritage and history with them. Together, we are raising two wonderful children—Emma, 7, and Andrew, 5—who embody the spirit of our shared cultures. We are committed to instilling in them the values of hard work, empathy, and respect for diversity, ensuring that they understand their roots while forging their own unique paths.

As I reflect on my journey, I am grateful for the rich tapestry of experiences and relationships that have shaped my life. From my upbringing in Los Angeles to my career in real estate and my role as a mother, each chapter has taught me the significance of community, perseverance, and love. I look forward to what the future holds for our family, knowing that our story is still being written, with each day offering new opportunities to grow, learn, and connect with others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

My favorite childhood memory is playing outside with all of the kids from our neighborhood whether we were riding bikes, playing hiding-go-seek or walking around our blocks, enjoying the late night summers and just being kids! It’s not everday you see kids playing out in the streets anymore I hope that our children are able to enjoy the simplicity of the outdoors and enjoying our California sunshine to the max!
