Hidden Gems: Meet Celeste DiRocco of Parklin Interiors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celeste DiRocco.

Celeste, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In November 2021 my husband Philip and I went out on a limb and purchased our first Airbnb / vacation rental in Gatlinburg, TN. Was a risk being many states away, and actually had never even been to TN. We purchased the small cabin site unseen to satisfy the urge to fix up a property and invest in our future for our children. We flew out to TN after we closed escrow and remodled the cabin in just one week, not wanting to take time away from family, and also wanting to make sure the property was listed and ready quickly for guests!

Little did we know, this would lead to a life altering shift, career move and the ability to fulfill our dreams.

We now own 6 vacation homes (TN, NC, GA, VA). I left my corporate job (17 years with the same company, selling corporate insurance!) to become a full time designer for other Airbnb hosts as well as a hospitality / host to our guests. Our focus on refined design and guest experience has given us the ability to design approximately 200 vacation homes nation wide for other Airbnb hosts!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Initially, I was working both jobs – my corporate career as a VP of Sales for Allianz and building a design business and a brand. Working 10+ hours a day, 7 days a week, it was a grind! In addition, i was learning how to be the best designer i could – being self taught.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We have designed over 200 vacation homes nationwide. We do this all virtually – using digital scans of the property. We are able to create complete designs – from basic to complete renovation design – virtually from Orange County. This allows us the ability to stay home with our family but also allows us to reach a broader audience, nationwide. We are most proud of how we can add value to our clients looking at each project from an investor perspective while also adapting to the style required in specific markets. We provide turnkey designs for our clients and their guests quickly to allow for our clients to turn their investment property into reality in a very short amount of time.
Our designs are uniuqe and allow our clients to stand out in their particular vacation market and get a high return on their investment.
