Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Theodore, L.ac.
Hi Beth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been passionate about natural and holistic healing remedies since childhood. To align my career with my interests, I researched various healing therapies and discovered Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine. I was particularly drawn to the depth of this medicine and the diverse techniques it encompassed. After completing college, I enrolled in the four-year master’s program at Samra University of Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles. Upon graduation, I furthered my studies in Japan, where I worked directly with patients and master practitioners to learn a classical style of acupuncture and herbal therapy. After returning to the LA area, I took my licensing exam – and passed on my first attempt! I then opened my private practice in collaboration with other wellness professionals. With over 20 years of experience, I stay current with the latest research and techniques in my field, continuously evolving my style and focus of care.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While the journey has had its challenges, each obstacle has only deepened my passion for this medicine. When I first became licensed, acupuncture was still relatively unknown in the U.S. To reach the people I believed I could help, I dedicated countless hours each week to networking with various professionals, wellness specialists and communities in need of my support. With limited job opportunities in my field, I took the initiative to become both a healthcare practitioner and business owner. I was fortunate to connect with remarkable experts who guided me in developing a solid business plan and mastering essential skills to run a successful practice. This experience has been invaluable in establishing and sustaining my practice.
As you know, we’re big fans of Beth Theodore Acupuncture. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist based in Manhattan Beach, CA, specializing in helping people feel their most energized, healthiest and balanced selves. I enjoy working with clients who are seeking deeper healing. Unless otherwise needed, I prefer to see one patient at a time, allowing me the opportunity to devote my full attention to each individual. I blend a variety of healing modalities to treat people experiencing emotional imbalances such as stress, anxiety, trauma and deep sadness, as well as fertility challenges, menstrual issues, chronic pain, and overall wellness. In addition to my private practice, I offer workshops and wellness retreats both locally and globally.
What does success mean to you?
Success is deeply subjective and personal to each individual. To me, success means living a life that aligns with your purpose, path, and vision. If your life brings you a sense of joy and fulfillment, then that is true success.
