Exploring Life & Business with Pastor E Hamilton of P2P Community Development INC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pastor E Hamilton.

Pastor E, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey has always been guided by purpose. Before I carried any title Pastor, CEO, Founder I was simply a servant with a deep desire to uplift people. My early experiences taught me resilience, compassion, and the importance of transformation. Those lessons formed the foundation of the work I do today.
As I served in ministry, I realized that people needed more than spiritual encouragement they needed practical pathways for change. That conviction pushed me to step beyond the pulpit and into community development, leading to the birth of P2P Community Development INC. What began as a vision has matured into a movement dedicated to helping individuals move from “Peer to Purpose.”
As Founder & CEO, I’ve been honored to guide P2P into meaningful and measurable impact, including:
Key Achievements of P2P Community Development INC
• Launching youth and adult mentorship initiatives focused on empowerment, leadership, and personal development.
• Developing life skills and workforce readiness programs that equip individuals with tools for long term success.
• Building partnerships with churches, schools, civic leaders, and community organizations to expand opportunity in underserved areas.
• Leading empowerment workshops, seminars, and training series on financial literacy, conflict resolution, and practical life transformation.
• Providing holistic support services that help individuals and families stabilize, rebuild, and thrive.
• Establishing sustainable pathways for long term change—not just momentary assistance.
These accomplishments reflect P2P’s heart: creating real solutions for real people.
Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards
A significant highlight of my journey has been receiving three Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards—a national recognition honoring individuals who dedicate more than 4,000 hours of community service over their lifetime.
Being honored not once but three times is a testament not to me, but to the work, the mission, and the lives transformed through obedience to God and commitment to community.
These awards affirmed that the seeds we plant in service can make a measurable impact on the world.
My Pastoral Calling
In addition to my organizational leadership, my ministry at The N.O.W. Church California continues to shape everything I do. My life’s message, captured in my book The 720° Turn: From Self to GOD, is the heartbeat behind both my preaching and my leadership philosophy:
Transformation requires both a spiritual turning and a practical commitment to purpose.
Today, I stand at the intersection of faith, leadership, and community advancement. My journey has been one of grace, obedience, and intentional action serving God’s people spiritually, practically, and systemically. And I’m still walking one assignment, one initiative, and one transformed life at a time.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all my journey has been anything but smooth. And honestly, I’m grateful for that. Every challenge I’ve faced has become part of the foundation God used to shape my character, my leadership, and my vision.
I’ve learned that when you’re called to purpose, resistance often arrives first.
Personal Challenges
There were seasons when I had to fight through my own limitations moments of doubt, disappointment, and internal battles most people never see. Growth required me to confront myself, heal from past experiences, and learn how to lead from a place of wholeness, not just responsibility. That personal transformation became the seed for the message behind The 720° Turn.
Ministry Challenges
In ministry, the road is rarely predictable. There were times when resources were low, support was thin, or the assignment felt bigger than the team standing with me. There were seasons of rebuilding, re visioning, and trusting God even when the vision wasn’t fully understood by others. But each challenge strengthened my faith and sharpened my voice as a teacher and leader.
Leadership & CEO Challenges
Leading P2P Community Development INC came with its own set of obstacles:
• Building programs from the ground up with limited initial funding.
• Establishing credibility in spaces where community organizations often struggle to be taken seriously.
• Navigating partnerships and systems that aren’t always set up to support underserved communities.
• Balancing ministry and marketplace leadership, ensuring both remain strong, healthy, and mission centered.
• Advocating for people who often don’t have a voice in decision making rooms.
There were times when the work felt heavy but never hopeless.
Community & Systemic Challenges
The communities we serve face real barriers: generational cycles, limited resources, re-entry challenges, educational gaps, and systemic inequalities. Leading P2P meant stepping directly into those realities and pushing through walls that weren’t built for easy entry.
Still, every struggle became fuel for innovation, compassion, and resilience.
What I Learned Along the Way
The road wasn’t smooth, but it was purposeful.
Each challenge taught me to:
• Lead with empathy
• Build with strategy
• Serve with consistency
• Trust God beyond what I could see
Today, I stand stronger because of the bumps, not because of the smooth places. And those struggles are the reason we can now celebrate impact, transformation, and three Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards. Every obstacle prepared me for the work I’m doing now.
