Exploring Life & Business with Pamela Morrone of Creating Clarity

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Morrone

Hi Pamela, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started organizing at the early age of 8. I did not want my mom to come in to clean my room because I was afraid she would move around where I placed things. In college I used to clean some apartments to barter for extra courses and would visualize how I could improve the functioning of their space by making some quick tweaks.

When I moved to Los Angeles in 2005 I started freelancing as an organizer and fell in love with it. I found I had a knack at visualizing the end result through the chaos. I would wake up in the morning and feel excited about the projects I would be working on.

In 2008 I started my company Creating Clarity, LLC. My motto is “Clear Your Clutter, Clear Your Mind”. I have learned a lot through this process as a business owner. There are ups and there are downs but the constant is the joy I am able to bring to my client’s lives and families when they can finally take a deep breath and relax in their newly organized homes.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Anyone that is a business owner knows that it does not come without it’s challenges. Finding the balance of business tasks such as payroll, scheduling, employees, contractors, vendors, payables, etc. versus the everyday on site organizing can be very challenging. I very much enjoy being on site with clients and working with them hands on but I also must make time to run the business to keep everything flowing smoothly. I have had some wonderful people along the way that have contributed to the growth of Creating Clarity along with teaching me valuable business lessons.

I believe that everyone that comes and goes in our lives leaves us with some sort of gift. I have learned so much about myself and continue to push myself to learn and expand my views in all areas. I want to be the best leader for my team and make sure I provide my clients with the best service I can offer in a constantly changing world.

We’ve been impressed with Creating Clarity, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am so proud of the work that we do with Creating Clarity! I specialize in home organization and relocations. I will go into a client’s home and help them to sort through their belongings to decide what to keep and what is no longer needed. From there I put in systems that are catering to their specific lifestyle needs. This is a very important part of what we do because one person may function one way and another with similar circumstances needs a system that is completely different.
My job from day one when a client hires Creating Clarity is to make sure the process involves as little effort on their part and is as smooth as possible. I never want a client to feel judged for how their space is because that has no reflection on how they are as a person or where they envision their space to be.
I facilitate items being brought to donation, the dump, hazardous waste, recycling, shredding, etc. I do shopping for clients so we can implement containers, drawer dividers, shelving, etc. to ensure the space functions with ease going forward. I implement aesthetically pleasing systems however my goal is for my clients to remain organized long term and not to just make something look pretty just for a good insta pic.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I wouldn’t say that I have been “lucky” in life. I would say that I set goals and I work hard. I try my best to be a good person in life and in my business and I have received that back in various ways. I believe we get what we put out in the world. I try to keep a positive outlook and plan for tomorrow but live in today.
