Exploring Life & Business with Majd (Magda) Asad of Pearl Fertility

Today we’d like to introduce you to Majd (Magda) Asad.

Hi Majd (Magda), can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into the fertility field started from both a scientific and deeply human perspective. I hold a degree in Medical Genetics, and from early on I was fascinated by reproductive medicine, embryology, and the complex science behind fertility treatment. Over the years, I gained hands-on experience working within fertility clinics, where I saw firsthand how emotionally challenging the fertility journey can be for patients and how important proper guidance and support truly are.
As I worked more closely with international patients, I noticed that many people searching for IVF treatment abroad felt overwhelmed by the process — from understanding treatment options to choosing the right clinic, organizing medical tests, coordinating travel, and simply knowing who to trust. That experience inspired me to establish Pearl Fertility, a patient-focused fertility coordination service dedicated to helping individuals and couples access personalized IVF treatment with clarity, honesty, and compassionate support throughout the process.
Today, Pearl Fertility supports patients from around the world, particularly from the UK, Europe, the USA, and the Middle East. We help coordinate different IVF treatments, and advanced fertility approaches for patients with difficult or complex fertility histories.
A large part of my role involves personally guiding patients throughout their journey — helping them understand their medical options, communicate with specialists, organize treatment plans, and feel emotionally supported during one of the most important moments of their lives. I believe fertility care should never feel cold or transactional; patients deserve transparency, empathy, and individualized attention.
What started as direct patient coordination gradually grew through trust, patient referrals, and word of mouth. Today, Pearl Fertility continues to grow as an international fertility platform focused on personalized care, patient advocacy, and making IVF treatment more accessible for people worldwide.
My long-term goal is not only to help more people achieve their dream of becoming parents, but also to continue raising awareness about fertility health, reproductive options, and patient-centred IVF support globally.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Building a business in the fertility field comes with both emotional and professional challenges because you are working with people during some of the most vulnerable and important moments of their lives. Every patient’s journey is deeply personal, and with that comes a huge sense of responsibility.
One of the biggest challenges in the beginning was building trust as an independent fertility coordinator in such a sensitive and highly specialized industry. Many patients come to us after experiencing failed IVF cycles, misinformation, or disappointing experiences elsewhere, so earning their confidence requires transparency, consistency, and genuine care.
Another challenge was balancing the emotional side of patient support with the operational side of running and growing a business. Fertility coordination is not just about appointments and treatment plans — it often involves supporting patients emotionally through uncertainty, anxiety, and difficult decisions. Learning how to carry that responsibility while continuing to grow professionally has been one of the biggest lessons of my journey.
Working internationally also comes with complexities. Every patient comes from a different background, country, and medical history, so coordinating communication, travel logistics, clinic processes, and timelines can be demanding. But over time, those challenges helped me build stronger systems, deeper experience, and a more personalized approach to patient care.
At the same time, I truly believe the difficult moments shaped both me and Pearl Fertility into what it is today. The challenges pushed me to become more knowledgeable, more resilient, and even more committed to creating a supportive experience for patients. Seeing patients finally achieve successful pregnancies after long fertility journeys is what makes all of it meaningful and continues to motivate me every day.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Pearl Fertility?
Pearl Fertility is an international fertility coordination service dedicated to supporting individuals and couples who are exploring IVF treatment. We help patients understand their fertility options, connect with experienced specialists, coordinate their medical journey, and feel supported from the first consultation through every stage of treatment.
Our work is especially focused on patients who are looking for a more personalized and guided IVF experience. Many of the people who come to us have already been through difficult fertility journeys, including failed IVF cycles, poor embryo development, low ovarian reserve, recurrent miscarriage, or emotional exhaustion from not knowing where to turn next. At Pearl Fertility, our goal is to give patients clarity, structure, and compassionate guidance during a process that can often feel overwhelming.
We coordinate a wide range of fertility treatments. Because of my background in Medical Genetics and my long experience working within fertility clinics, I understand both the scientific and emotional sides of fertility care, which allows me to guide patients in a way that is informed, realistic, and deeply human.
What sets Pearl Fertility apart is the personal level of support we provide. We are not just a booking service. We take time to understand each patient’s history, explain the process clearly, help organize medical tests, coordinate with clinics and specialists, and assist with treatment-related planning when needed. Many international patients feel lost when trying to access fertility treatment, so we try to make the journey feel more manageable, transparent, and supported.
Brand-wise, I am most proud that Pearl Fertility has grown through trust, referrals, and genuine patient relationships. Fertility care is deeply personal, and I believe patients can feel when they are being treated with honesty and care. I am proud that our brand represents compassion, transparency, international support, and hope — not false promises or pressure.
What I would love readers to know is that Pearl Fertility was created for people who want more than just a treatment plan. It was created for patients who want to feel heard, guided, and supported during one of the most important journeys of their lives. Our mission is to make IVF treatment more accessible, more understandable, and more patient-centered, while helping people move closer to their dream of building a family.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk has played a very important role in my journey, but I do not see risk as something careless or impulsive. For me, meaningful risk is when you believe deeply in something, you understand the responsibility behind it, and you are willing to leave your comfort zone in order to build something with purpose.
One of the biggest risks I took was leaving a stable, well-paying job to start Pearl Fertility. At the time, it was not an easy decision. I had security, experience, and a professional position within the fertility field, but deep down I felt that I wanted to create something more personal, transparent, and truly patient-centered.
During my years working in fertility clinics, I saw how overwhelming IVF can be for patients. Fertility treatment is not a straight line; it comes with many emotional, medical, and financial ups and downs. Patients often do not know what questions to ask, what their options are, what their rights are, or how to advocate for themselves in difficult situations. I felt a strong responsibility to help patients understand the process more clearly and feel more empowered throughout their journey.
Although I was working in a good position, I sometimes felt limited in how much I could fully stand on the patient’s side or advocate for them in the way I truly wanted to. I wanted patients to feel informed, heard, and supported — not just medically, but emotionally and practically as well. That desire became one of the main reasons I decided to take the risk and build Pearl Fertility independently.
Another important part of my decision came directly from the patients themselves. Many of the patients I supported in the clinic came because of the trust they had built with me. They felt comfortable asking me questions, sharing their fears, and relying on my guidance. Over time, some of them encouraged me to create my own platform because they believed the kind of care, coordination, and honesty I was offering was something many fertility patients needed.
That encouragement stayed with me. It made me realize that Pearl Fertility was not just a business idea — it was something that had already started naturally through patient trust and real relationships. The risk was leaving behind stability and stepping into the unknown, but the motivation came from a very real need I was seeing every day.
Of course, building a business comes with uncertainty. There are financial risks, emotional risks, and the pressure of being responsible for every detail. But I believe some risks are necessary when your purpose is bigger than your fear. I trusted my background in Medical Genetics, my years of experience in fertility clinics, and most importantly, the trust patients had already placed in me.
Today, I see that risk as one of the most important decisions of my life. It allowed me to build Pearl Fertility in a way that reflects my values: compassion, transparency, education, patient advocacy, and personalized support. I am proud that I chose to build something meaningful, even when it was not the easiest or safest path.
