Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Short Version: My story begins with a deep appreciation for hard work and determination instilled in me by my mother and grandmother. As a collegiate basketball player and later as a professional athlete, I recognized the importance of building long-lasting generational wealth, particularly as a first-generation born son of immigrants. This led me to begin investing in real estate while still pursuing my passion on the court. With my basketball career winding down, I knew that I needed to map out a clear path for my future. Drawing on my previous experience in real estate development and investments, I knew that becoming a Real Estate Broker was a natural and fitting next step for me. Today, I take great pride in providing a white-glove service to fellow athletes and clients, leveraging my unique perspective and attention to detail to help them achieve their real estate goals.

Additional Detail: My passion for real estate stemmed from the age of six when I would attend open houses every weekend in the Hollywood Hills and call listing agents asking about the property details of whichever 20 million dollar home was on the market at the moment.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I received a BA in Business and Finance with a Minor in Real Estate from UC-Berkeley and Cal State Los Angeles. During this time I had the opportunity to play basketball for one of the top programs in the country; California Golden Bears, which provided invaluable life lessons and experiences.

While attending UC-Berkeley, I founded a sneaker business that amounted to over $1,000,000 in inventory sold with tasks including but not limited to product placement, marketing and analysis. My clientele included A-list celebrities, NBA/NFL all-stars, professional athletes, and other high net worth individuals.

After graduation, I ventured overseas where I continued my basketball career at the professional level for 3 years. Acting as a referring agent while playing overseas, my network of professional athletes, managers, and agents has given me an edge in the business. My hard work, fortitude, and persistence have been focused on what is ultimately best for my clients and my achievements stem from my genuine care for them, ensuring that the clients always come first.

Since early in my career, I have always been heavily involved in all aspects of real estate. While many know me as a real estate broker, few realize that I had found success as a real estate investor as well. In addition to unparalleled knowledge of the luxury market, I can speak 4 languages including English, Russian, Hebrew and Spanish which makes interaction with international clientele run seamlessly.

I have learned a long time ago that my success is not derived from selling luxury homes, but rather the relationships I am able to form. I’m confident that through my love for this craft and dedication to my clients, I can position and guide people to a better financial future. My love for real estate is contagious and shines through in every single transaction.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Do all good things come easy? I’d say we’d have a big problem if they did! Although I have been in the business for a while through investments and rental properties, I had made the decision to retire from basketball and start the new chapter of my career as a Real Estate Broker. Coincidentally, the timing of this was also the very start of the pandemic and I’d say that transition challenged me very personally and professionally in a pivotal point in my life. I went from a structure where a coach would be in charge of my professional life to now being an Entrepreneur having to create my own structure in an industry where you really have to hit the ground running. As challenging as it was, I’d say a lot of my current attitude and intrinsic motivation propelled me to be in the position I am now in.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Despite the assumption that professional basketball players spend their entire lives honing their craft, for some, like myself, that’s not always the case. Fun fact – I didn’t actually grow up playing basketball! I was recruited straight out of high school with zero experience, but once I saw the opportunity, I was determined to make it my career. My dedication and hard work were instrumental in helping me achieve my goals and turn my passion for basketball into a career.

It wasn’t easy – I had to put in long hours of practice and push myself beyond my limits to make up for lost time and develop the skills I needed to succeed in this highly competitive field. But my journey to becoming a professional basketball player taught me the value of determination, resilience, and hard work. It’s a reminder that with the right mindset and the willingness to put in the effort, we can achieve anything we set our minds to, even if it seems impossible at first.
