Exploring Life & Business with Candy Straight of Flamingo Box Co.

Flamingo Box Co.®  was born from a pool party I hosted in SoCal in 2022, where my party favors with drink floaties quickly became a hit. As a USC sociology grad and a people person, I saw the chance to combine my love for creative gifting with the wisdom and tools that helped me heal and grow. Now, I’m passionate about spreading encouragement and positivity—one thoughtfully curated box at a time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

It’s been challenging figuring out the balance with my loving boys, my business, and homeschooling. So much unchartered territory that I am trying to scale and overcome—but I consider these blessings and opportunities for growth.

Flamingo Box Co.® is all about celebrating balance and embracing life’s full spectrum. When you gift a Flamingo Box, you’re inviting someone to find their center, breathe deeply, and embrace their inner flamingo. What sets us apart is that our boxes are more than just gifts—they’re experiences designed to support people through every moment, including the messy ones like loss or heartbreak. We’ve redefined gifting by creating a meaningful bridge from your heart to your loved ones’ struggles, offering tools for healing and connection when it’s needed most. We believe in breaking outdated gifting rules and standing together no matter what life brings.

What are your plans for the future?

My first ever book, The Greatest Gift, will be released on November 2nd, 2025. On the same day, we’re hosting our first public event, The Pink Carpet Event, at Hart & Main, featuring actual flamingos as part of the celebration. It will be both our book launch and a founder’s story event—I’m so excited! I’ll also be launching The Messy Moments Podcast in 2026.
