I’ve been passionate about digital marketing since I was a kid. At 13, I launched a Lakers basketball forum, and to my surprise, it took off—hundreds of users, thousands of posts, and a thriving community. That experience sparked my love for building online platforms and connecting with audiences.
I pursued digital marketing at Cal State Northridge and took on a range of internships—some completely random—but each one gave me insight into different industries and strategies. After college, I worked at a digital marketing firm, then became the head of marketing at a tax law firm. Those roles helped me refine my skills and understand what businesses truly need from a marketing agency.
In my early twenties, I took the leap and started Anthony Media Group. It began with a few clients through word of mouth, and over time, it grew into a full-service agency. Now, we work with brands across multiple industries, helping them scale through digital marketing, paid ads, SEO, and more. It’s been a journey, but every step—from that first Lakers forum to running a marketing firm—has shaped where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In the beginning, I was new to running a business, and the learning curve was steep. Managing finances, hiring the right people, and even dealing with the tough part—letting people go—were all challenges I had to navigate. I also struggled with delegation. Like many entrepreneurs, I spread myself too thin at first, trying to do everything myself instead of building a team I could trust.
Over time, I learned to adapt. I focused on hiring people who were not only talented but also aligned with the company’s vision. I got better at managing finances, setting up systems, and most importantly, letting go of tasks that others could handle so I could focus on growth. The struggles were real, but they also shaped me into a better leader and helped Anthony Media Group become what it is today.
