Today we’d like to introduce you to Elissa Costanza.
Hi Elissa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was looking to purchase my first home and knew I couldn’t with my credit score. I looked into first-time homebuyer programs and finally worked on my credit after putting it off for so long. My score jumped up over 69 points in a little over 30 days and I was awarded over $100,000+ in down payment assistance from different programs.
From there, I became super passionate about helping others learn and make the most of their buying power and financial literacy with credit restoration, and that’s where She Does Credit was born. I have been a full-time and first-generation entrepreneur for three years and truly love what I do. I am also a television personality and work in the real estate field as well as a realtor and mortgage.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth toad, but I would not change it for the world. Entrepreneurship definitely molds and shapes you, and you grow a lot both personally and in your business. There’s times you can be on the top of the world, then there’s times you can not do as well. The key is self-motivation, sticking to your reason “why” and always keeping your eye on the prize. You are your biggest motivator and discipline is key!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about She Does Credit?
My business is She Does Credit, and I am the “She” in She Does Credit! I am a franchise, however I am backed up by credit attorneys and have a multitude of services such as 24/7 credit monitoring, identity theft protection up to $1M dollars, credit building, financial literacy, and more. What I’m so proud of brand-wise is the trust and relationships that naturally come working with people. What sets me apart from others is that I actually do take the time to always hone in on my craft and educating myself as well as others to help meet their goals. In addition, I’m a complete package with my knowledge, expertise, and connections to help get you to where you want to be and being committed to the goals we have set.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk…..risk is a touchy subject to talk about, it’s a risk. (no pun intended). Risks are necessary to grow both you and your business and to step outside of your comfort zone. The best advice I can give is to trust your intuition, have back up plans, and make sure that you are prepared. The biggest risk I made was deciding not to ever go back to corporate America and investments, myself and my business, even at times when I didn’t have it. You live and learn, I learned a lot of valuable lessons. However, I have grown wiser. I’ve won and I’ve lost, but my growth both in business and personally was all worth it. Coming from a family that always wanted to make sure that I’m good, have a “good job with benefits, insurance, and health benefits,” betting on myself and making a constant decision to make this work was the biggest great and best investment I could of ever made.
