Hi Ricardo & George, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Our story is one of passion, perseverance, family traditions and our vibrant culture has always been important to us. somehow along the way, that connection became weaker due to influences of street life, We believe the struggles we had to go through made us who we are.

As we reconnected though our love of film. We started to grow as artists and as human beings.

As we currently pursue our carries in the film industry it is important to us to give back to our communities through the love of film, we hope it can help them in their lives the way film has helped us.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of our biggest obstacles is trying to break into the filmindusty as outsiders. We have no connections no family ties, we are just two Chicanos that decided to pursue our passion and represent our culture along the way.

We are telling our stories, with our own voice.

The Ortega Brothers blend artistic vision with social consciousness, they have earned not only awards but the hearts of the people. What are your plans for the future?
Our plans for the future include making the leap into feature films. We plan to implement our style of cinema and our passion for teaching the future filmmakers of the world.
