Daily Inspiration: Meet PRESSPLAYPIERRE

Today we’d like to introduce you to PRESSPLAYPIERRE.

Hi PRESSPLAYPIERRE, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born to two Armenian immigrants in 1983 in Los Angeles California. Was a pro figure skater until 2010 where I retired after the Olympic qualifier. My father was a fashion designer and my mom a violist, so I was very fortunate in having both a strong fashion influence and a strong music influence in my life. I graduated from FIDM with a degree in fashion design and I was a stylist for many celebrities throughout the years which is how I came to discover my love for music production as I was styling many musicians at the time. Jeremih was one of the first artist I started styling and from there I was always in and out of studio sessions. Eventually I would go on to manage a Brazilian artist named Biel which led me to my adventures in the Latin music market. In 2018 I’d meet Kris R, a 17 year old colombian artist who blew me away with his talent and I knew he’d be a start someday. We made lots of music together over the course of the last 8 years. In 2022, I moved to Medellin colombia to be more involved with making Latin music and to continue working with Kris who is now one of the top artists out of colombia today. Right now I’m working on my new project which is the follow up to the 3 singles that I previously released in 2025. So the journey has just begun.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Hasn’t been easy to say the least. I’ve done my fair share of helping people out who went onto do big things but left me behind. Perhaps it was cause I wasn’t as well positioned as I could’ve been. Even today, I experience a lot of hurdles, but overcoming them is part of the fun. It was especially hard for me to be taken seriously by Latin artists cause I didn’t speak the language. So I learned how to speak Spanish. Haha.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize is music production, talent development, and social media marketing. In a nutshell.

I’m most proud of my accomplishment as a lone wolf in such a cut throat business. Not where I wanna be yet, but I’m on the way.

My ability to forecast future trends and spot talent.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I am a big risk taker. Whether it’s financial or personal or anything in between. Big risk big reward. No risk, no reward. I always say you can either take what you want or watch others take it instead. Claim what’s yours and take risks to get there.
