Daily Inspiration: Meet Ochoa Boyz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ochoa Boyz.

Ochoa Boyz

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up as a close set of brothers, we wanted to work together. With our love of music and being involved in the entertainment business as kids, we decided to form a group called Ochoa Boyz. Our dad, being a DJ for many years, helped us start producing our music until we found Ness, who produces all of our tracks now.

In over ten years we’ve performed over 300 shows and have some of our music in film and television shows.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being in the entertainment business is always a struggle; it has its ups and downs, like any business. However, working together with the major support of our parents, we have been able to overcome any obstacles in our way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re a group of four real brothers who write and co-produce our own music and music videos. We all started as working actors on film and television. We are most proud that we carry the same passion we did 11 years ago when we formed the group. We continue to strive to be better artists and performers every day.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
When you work with other people, the only risk that’s worth taking is a calculated risk. So as long as the reward outweighs the risk, then it’s worth taking.. The biggest risk we took was in year two of forming the group. Up until that point, we were a group that was in-house where our dad was our producer. An opportunity arose where a Producer wanted to work with us, but we were skeptical at first. After discussing with all four members, we decided that we should take the chance and at least do one song with him, and now after nine years, we still use the same Producer to this day and only him.
