Today we’d like to introduce you to Nevaeh Taylor.
Hi Nevaeh, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Nevaeh Taylor, I’m an Aspiring Actor.
I knew I wanted to pursue acting around my junior year in High School. I began reading a lot of Shakespeare and watching interviews of various actors so I would have a better understanding of the art. When my Senior year came I had built up the confidence to try out for one of the biggest plays at my school, and actually ended up getting a leading role!
It was confirmation that all my reading and research of what it takes to become an actor was paying off. Securing a leading role at my high school was a confidence boost for me and let me know I had what it took to fulfill my goals and dreams.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth journey, I’ve faced several obstacles, being young and not having the representation that’s needed makes it difficult to try to navigate through the industry to book roles for TV shows and Movies. I’ve found that without representation casting directors are less willing to take a chance on you. So I’m in the process of finding proper representation so that I can become everything I know I can.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have upcoming casting role auditions in the DMV and LA this year on various Indie Films. I’m excited about that.
I specialize in dramatic roles and coming of age stories.
I’m extremely proud of myself for never giving up and continuing to pursue my dreams no matter how unrealistic it may seem to others. I was given this gift and plan on using it, spreading light and positivity throughout.
I believe my outgoing personality and ability to understand any role or situation is what sets me apart from others. I’m able to obtain information well and produce effective results.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
LA is a Beautiful city and I love the diversity of cultures and communities! Whenever I visit LA I feel so inspired, must be something in the air that’s makes you feel like a star.
The one thing I dislike is the traffic in LA , it’s so reminiscent of traffic in the DMV. I’m definitely used to it, just not a fan.
