Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Grodnick.

Hi Michelle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The year is 2022 and I am, unknowingly, in the midst of my Saturn Return– the astrological entrance into adulthood– when I suddenly get a jolt of inspiration to study astrology. At the time, I was working in the corporate tech world. Growing up, I loved astronomy, space, and anything extraterrestrial, but I never considered studying the ancient language of astrology before.

Once I began studying, it was impossible to deny my infatuation with all things astrology. I was giving readings, doing events, and expanding in ways that I wasn’t in my corporate role. Eventually, I knew I needed to take the leap full time into astrology, but not without checking in with the stars first.

I noticed that in the summer of 2024, Jupiter, the planet of expansion, abundance, and growth was going to make its entrance into my house of career & purpose. I saw this as a sign that this timing would align for my new professional chapter. I left my tech role that August, and just two weeks later, I met a founder building an astrology-based dating app. It felt like a clear nod from the universe that opportunities were awaiting me if I just made the leap.

During that time, I consulted & started building my business, slowly but surely. I wrote an astrology algorithm to generate dating app matches while building a website for my own practice. It was immediately clear that my corporate tech career was a necessary step to arrive at this place– it gave me skills in sales, marketing, and systems-thinking that are required to turn creative visions into reality.

Now in 2025, I’ve spent the last year transitioning from what I call an “ego-based profession” to a “soul-based profession,” from big tech to tiny astrology practice. It’s been putting things like numbers, outcomes, and forecasts on the back burner, and prioritizing things like healing, empathy, and an open heart. For the astrology lovers, I have 6 planets in the hard-working, high-achieving sign of Capricorn, so this has been quite a massive shift for me.

Today I get to live and breathe astrology while supporting people around the world in aligning with their soul’s purpose. My practice includes 1:1 natal chart consultations, coaching sessions, virtual workshops, IRL events, and posting daily updates on TikTok. There is never a dull day when you’re tracking the ever-changing movement of the planets.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I named my social handles @SlightlySpiraling because life is a spiral (and so is our galaxy). There are ups, downs, and the second you’re getting the hang of it, another lesson is thrown your way. But as the spiral turns, you’re slowly getting closer to your center.

My journey isn’t just a professional transformation. As astrology teaches, nothing in life happens in isolation—every facet touches another. So as my working life, mindset, and lifestyle were shifting, I was also moving through emotional breakthroughs, physical healing, and facing fears I didn’t even know I had.

The truth is: creating a business is hard. There’s no more manager directing my actions, no more HR making sure I get paid, and no more big name company to hide behind. It’s just me & my magic. The road is hardest when I forget to believe in my magic.

But when I lead a breakthrough reading or witness a transformation through longer-term coaching, I am reminded of my purpose: supporting you in becoming the best you you can be.

I’m an astrologer and certified coach, specializing in astrology for self-discovery.

My core offerings are 1:1 sessions that begin with a Natal Chart Consultation, where we explore your cosmic makeup and how it shows up in your everyday life. From there, I offer coaching sessions designed around the insights from your chart, using them as a roadmap for aligned action. I also bring astrology to brand events, influencer activations, and intimate gatherings, which is a beautiful way to elevate any special moment.

I’ve been called “the sane astrologer,” and my Gen Z girlies like to call what I do “clear pill astrology.” While I love all things woo, my gift is distilling the ambiguous language of astrology into grounded, practical steps. There’s no fear, no gimmicks. It’s heart-centered work rooted in uncovering your soul’s purpose and identifying the aligned actions that bring your goals into reality.

My newest offering that has been bringing me so much joy is my virtual Moon Circle. It’s the perfect way to dip your toes into astrology without too much commitment. Twice a month, on the New Moon and Full Moon, I host a one-hour circle where I teach the astrology of the moment, lead an exercise like a visualization, meditation, or journaling prompt, and then open things up for Q&A. People can ask about their chart, what they should be paying attention to, or what the current energy means for them. It’s intimate, warm, and honestly one of my favorite parts of this work. We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
My mom always told me, “Be the best you you can be.” That mantra has become the through line of everything I do.

To me, success is living in alignment with your authentic self. It’s leading with love, moving toward the light, and receiving those little signs from the universe that your soul is happy with the direction you’re heading.

Astrology creates a map that reveals your soul’s truth and shows you how to align your actions with the inner life force that makes you you. It’s an honor to interpret that map for so many incredible people in Los Angeles and beyond.
