Daily Inspiration: Meet Izabella Carmen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Izabella Carmen.

Hi Izabella, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
2020 was really the start of everything for me! I was already posting fun dance and comedy videos on Instagram and TikTok, with my parents monitoring my accounts since I danced competitively. I originally just created content for fun, but then I got an opportunity to model for Rock Your Hair and Teen Vibes Magazine, and was featured twice in their magazine. It was such an amazing experience because I got to meet so many new people and make great friendships.

I started with modeling and creating content with friends, and over time I became more passionate about content creation itself. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with creators I grew up watching, like Rebecca Zamolo and Brent Rivera, which honestly felt like a dream come true. Ever since I was 7 years old, they’ve always made me smile, so being able to hopefully do the same for other people now means so much to me. That’s really how my journey started!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. There have been so many challenges along the way — feeling unmotivated, questioning if my content is good enough, and watching other creators grow while feeling like I’m staying in the same place. There have honestly been times when I thought about giving up.

What’s helped me through all of it is my mom. She’s my biggest support system, and I truly don’t know what I would do without her. My viewers have also played such a huge role in keeping me motivated. I’ve received messages from teenagers around my age saying that my videos made them happy or helped them get through a rough day, and hearing that means everything to me.

I still remember the very first fan message I received — it actually made me cry. That was the moment I realized that no matter how difficult this journey can get, this is what I truly want to do. Being able to make someone smile, even for a few minutes, is the most rewarding feeling ever.

It’s also difficult not to dive fully into content creation because I also want to have a somewhat normal teenagehood and be able to experience public school, School dances, and graduation, simple things like that, but it also helps me relate with my audience.

I’m so incredibly grateful for everyone who supports me, watches my videos, and helps me behind the scenes. None of this would be possible without them.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’d definitely say I’m a triple threat! Right now, I’m mostly known for dancing and lifestyle content, but I’m excited to continue showing even more sides of myself to my audience in the future.

One of the moments I’m most proud of was opening both NYFW and LAFW with dance and then walking in both shows afterward. It was such an incredible honor and honestly still feels like a fever dream. Being able to do something I love on such a huge stage was truly unforgettable. The amazing brand JUST BE 72 and the owner, Margarette Evette, gave me the absolute honor of being able to do this. I’m truly so grateful for them and how they have become my second family and an amazing way to express myself through dance and fashion!

Another major highlight for me has been working with some of my favorite childhood YouTubers and creators, including Rebecca Zamolo and Brent Rivera. Working with Rebecca was amazing — she was so sweet, kind, and easy to work with. Brent was incredible as well. I had heard different opinions before meeting him, so I was a little nervous at first, but he turned out to be so energetic, patient, and genuinely nice.

I’ve also had the opportunity to work with so many other amazing creators and talented people, including Jordan Matter and his daughter Salish, who I was also a huge fan of growing up, along with Dylan Conrique, Kadio Lee Roberts, Sydney Taleah, Peja, Jamie Adler, Ayiah Soufi, Mckenzie Brooke, Ryder Tully, Nayeli, Jordyn S. Curet, and so many more incredible people. Every experience has taught me something new and introduced me to people I truly admire.

It’s honestly crazy to think that I’ve been watching some of these creators since I was 7 years old, making little videos inspired by them, and now I’ve actually had the opportunity to meet and work with them. Moments like that remind me how grateful I am for this journey and how far I’ve come.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I think what makes me stand out most is being authentic and driven. Since most of my audience is made up of teenagers, it’s really important to me to be real with them. I don’t want to act like life is always perfect or pretend I’m always smiling 24/7. I want them to see that I’m a real person too — someone who understands what they’re going through and who has struggles and insecurities just like anyone else and can relate to them.

There are already so many negative influences on social media, especially for younger generations, and I want my platform to be a positive space. I want to be someone they can look up to for advice, encouragement, and even just a reason to smile after a hard day. Almost like a big sister figure.

I also want younger people to know that they never have to change themselves to fit in. You don’t have to look a certain way, act a certain way, or own the latest trending thing to be “cool.” Being yourself is already enough, and that’s something I always try to remind my audience.

At the end of all my YouTube videos, I say my catchphrase: “Remember to be unapologetically you because you deserve the world and so much more!” I want every person watching to leave my videos smiling and remembering that they are already worthy exactly as they are.
