Hi Delano Dj SoCaL, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
DJ SoCaL is not your average DJ. He stands out in every setting, be it radio, clubs, parties, bars, or lounges. Known for his ability to instantly set the vibe, DJ SoCaL excels not only in playing and mixing music but also in captivating and energizing any crowd with his unique talent.
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, and raised in Palmdale, DJ SoCaL’s passion for music was ingrained in him by his parents, Tara Every and Derek Edwards. Reflecting on his upbringing, he says, “Growing up in my family was like living with a constant soundtrack; music was always around me.”
DJ SoCaL’s journey as a DJ began in earnest during his freshman year of high school when he was given the opportunity to mix music during lunch for his peers and school staff. This experience sparked his ambition, leading him to host his own parties and club events, collaborating with well-known and emerging Hip-Hop artists.
Today, DJ SoCaL is a dedicated father of three beautiful daughters, London, Egypt and Empryss Edwards, whom he cherishes deeply. He is the official DJ and resident at numerous popular California clubs, touring across the United States and actively working within the community. As the DJ and Production Manager alongside Super Producer and artist MyGuyMars, DJ SoCaL has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Too Short, Mya, Nick Grant, James Harden, Derrick Rose, Kyrie Irving, Saji Peters, and Polo G. Additionally, he has produced shows for the Los Angeles Showcase After Church LA, curated by MyGuyMars, and Unplugd LA, curated by Joel Green.
DJ SoCaL is a staple in Southern California, deeply involved with the communities surrounding him. As the owner of The SoCalifornia Syndicate LLC, he plans to give back by opening a center dedicated to teaching and coaching students in music and DJing. His commitment to the community and the youth reflects his desire to create positive change and inspire the next generation of music enthusiasts.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve been through so many challenges from trying to make fast money and cut corners to get ahead to being homeless not being able to provide for my daughters.. with all those challenges it has made me the strong businessman I am today that will not quit.

Consistency of Being able to satisfy each clients professionally and the range I consider myself a all around dj.. ..tours, live band shows to celebrity weddings/birthdays .. to community work..Exclusive Dj
