Daily Inspiration: Meet Cindy Camargo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Camargo.

Hi Cindy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Owning my own clothing boutique has been a dream of mine since I was a young girl. I went to college to study fashion merchandise and worked at MAC as a part-time makeup artist. After I graduated college in 2014, I continued to work at MAC cosmetics and grew with the company. I learned what it takes to not only manage and lead a team but also work with lifelong clients.

In 2020, I realized it was time to push my limits and begin my journey in the fashion industry. I opened Her Society LA, a women’s online clothing boutique.

I am extremely lucky I get to combine my love for beauty and fashion all in one place.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Opening Her Society LA has definitely brought a lot of struggles and achievements. When I think about some of the difficulties, I have to say that learning how to start a business is hard in itself, from choosing the right name to figuring out how to build your own website.

It took a lot of brainstorming and planning to be where we are today. We still continue to learn and grow each and everyday.

Staying consistent is key to any successful business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wake up and I dress myself depending on the mood I am in. Some days I feel sexy, bummy, dainty, or edgy. Her Society LA has something for every one of your daily moods.

I express this through our lifestyle photoshoots. I really enjoy styling our shoots and creating looks for all women and body types.

I am the makeup artist and stylist on set during our shoots. Being able to plan out our looks is something I am most proud of.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Collaborating with other small businesses is huge for me. We have already collaborated with a few during our giveaways, pop-up shops, and with photoshoots. Her Society LA is open to new business ventures and collaborations. We love to hear new ideas and we enjoy teaming up with other businesses.
