Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Dale.
Hi Cameron, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started off as a young impressionable individual, just like most of us are! I never cared for much of the useless matter fed to us in schools and searched for real knowledge on my own. Art has always been a part of my life, from doodling on the wall in my childhood home from getting arrested in my teenage years…when I graduated from Crayons to Krylons. Instead on getting reprimanded heavily for my actions, my parents showed me an outlet to pursue my creativity without jeopardizing myself in society. I stepped away from graffiti to body art in its fullest form of expression, from body piercing to full tattoo body suits. I’ve been blessed to work along some of the most talented minds the industry has to offer. After about a decade in the industry, one of the most unique, jaw dropping steppingstones came my to my path when I was contacted by SpaceX in early 2018. Fast forward almost 8 years- I’ve lead the Quality department for the NASA astronaut program via Dragon Capsule, now currently inspecting with SpaceX’s most elite inspection team. As many things do change in life, I have not lost the passion to create tattoos and artwork. My feelings are indescribable, creating artwork for beautiful people and giving back to my community is a true passion.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No smooth roads here, There were highs and lows just like any industry. Learning from your failures and turning them into wins. That does not entail for you to give up, just think about the bigger picture and what’s on the outside of the box. Adapt and pursue!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Tattoo Artist at Lambert and Gunn Custom Art Studio, in Whittier, Ca. My tattoo style I specialize in is American Traditional & Neo-Traditional. Bold lines, heavy black shading and colors you can see from across the street!
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I like to give a big thanks to my parents for aiding me find an outlet for creativity. My lovely wife Lily and daughter Sophia for being my biggest supporters imaginable through thick and thin, they’re my biggest cheerleaders! I cannot forget my brothers at Lodge no.323
