Daily Inspiration: Meet Argineh Danelian

Today we’d like to introduce you to Argineh Danelian

Hi Argineh, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, I’m Argineh. Born & raised in Tehran in an Armenian family. Back home I went to University and have my degree in accounting and I worked as an accountant for a couple of years in an oil company. We moved here almost a decade ago and despite the fact that it was very hard as I couldn’t speak English yet and had to adopt to the new environment, I decided to change my major and work in fashion which has always been a passion of mine ever since I was so little. That’s how my fashion blog (which no longer is active) was born in early 2016 and I quickly got into the best community of passionate women who worked in the same field and was supporting of each other. I got signed up with the best agencies such as Who What Wear and worked with incredible brands and modeled in most amazing campaigns which I am so grateful for.

After two years I realized that it was time to launch my own brand which was my main goal ever since I was little to be my own boss. In August 2019 ARGI DANELI my handmade jewelry brand was born where I design, handmade (most of the pieces) myself and run the business myself. ARGI DANELI has become very popular among not only Armenian community but influencers as well who appreciate unique and original designs. I love cooperating my Armenian and Iranian roots into my designs to highlight the rich culture they have.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As I mentioned briefly before, moving to a new country was not easy whatsoever. Change in general is not easy but it is necessary for growth. To say it’s been a smooth road would be a lie but a joyful one? Yes, 100%. The main struggle was the language barrier. I had to take ESL classes for a couple of months to be able to speak fluently and slowly but surly finding my place in a complete strange and new community. I am grateful for the positive person I am to have been able to embrace each obstacle with open arms and learn from rather to let them bend me. And of course my supportive friends and family has always been there for me whenever I needed their help.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a very creative and passionate person. That includes in fashion, my personal style, as well as my jewelry line ARGI DANELI. I do create online contents on my personal page @arginehdanelian focused more on fashion, styling, travel, & of course food. I would say what sets me apart is the unique taste which I see things differently and am able to see things beyond what they are. With this being said, the most important quality that sets me apart, is me being authentic and true to who I am. It took me years to stop caring what perception people have about me and what trends would have expected me and my style to be. Not that being on trend is a bad thing, but being true to oneself is far important and I am a firm believer that people who are following me can sense the authenticity and appreciate just as much as I do. I am blessed to have this beautiful community around me.
Same goes with my jewelry brand ARGI DANELI and everything that I design. I do see pearls, beads, and findings just beyond what they are and I am able to create pieces that are so uniquely my style where people who are in my community can tell easily that the design it’s mine. I take pride in my unique capability to be this creative.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
