Today we’d like to introduce you to Amit Lasry

Hi Amit , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey my name is Amit originally I’m from Israel I started making jewellery 8 years ago
I met my teacher at my hometown and I started to work with her and she teaches me how to become a silversmith/jeweller then after an year I go to university to study casting of jewellery and I open my first business back then , I opened a booths with my pieces of the jewellery that I made in different places.
After that I came to US and long story short I’m here for 6 years already and just this last year I back again to make my art and my passion I have little studio and I made with a lot of love and inspired by the nature custom made pieces.
In the future I will build my dream collection and website .

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s not smooth road as an artist you need always to reinvent yourself .
And when I came over here it’s took me time to buy all the equipment and build myself and my confidence as an artist .

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a jeweller/ silversmith I’m making jewellery from sand casting.
100% hands made jewellery
I’m inspired by the nature my jewellery very rough with texture from the nature and I proud of myself that I listen to my emotions and create with a lot of passion and never give up

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I like that people appreciate art and support hand made
