Daily Inspiration: Meet Alexus Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexus Davis.

Alexus, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At the age of 21, I had the idea of owning a bar and lounge. That idea has flourished to a business at the age of 24; to a full-blown brand at the age of 28!

It started out with me selling dinners, doing social media promotion to keep my fan base growing. I’d travel all around the world for different expos and pop-up events. That has allowed a fan base to actively follow my journey on social media, purchase recipes and even use a few of my caption-made reel recipes.

With this, I pray to make it on TV one day doing exactly what I love – complimenting tastebuds and balancing flavors!

I am simply where I am today through hard work, true dedication and commitment, ambition and the motivation from being a mother of three toddlers now ages 3, 4 & 5. Being able to manage being a mother and an entrepreneur isn’t easy but thus far my “biggest flex”. My biggest accomplishment and much more. My children is my biggest why for BOSSNFLAVORS! / BOSSNEMPIRE.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an entrepreneur I must admit has to be one of the biggest challenges and it’s truly not for the weak. Most recently, I was to travel to Alabama for a pop-up experience and unfortunately was not able to make it. The day before, it was time for me to leave; it was mandatory my husband show up for work as they had a property inspection; My children got sick with a stomach virus and 15 hours before the event, I came down with the same virus. I was determined to get there I drove 6 hours away from my home in order to pull it together and get the event over with. Well, things didn’t go my way and I had to cancel my trip all while trying to get better in Tennessee. I’m 6 hours away from home with my three children determined to get to Birmingham. If I could explain how crushed I was and how hurt I still am – I had to remind myself as an entire, we win some battles, we lose some battles but each and every time, we must continue on thriving in our greatness and not give up. I was able to make the road trip an experience for my children “Hotel stay was fun for them” we even visited a petting zoo off the interstate.

Returning back home that very same night, I settled myself home – started putting together a balloon arch and told myself you will win because you want to. Giving up isn’t an option, not when these kids then watched you come this far. I started putting together the balloon arch and setting up my table on how it was going to be set up in Alabama and did content. I apologized for not being able to pull through and was super transparent with my audience. As a full-time mother to toddlers and a full-time entrepreneur, it’s a struggle the road isn’t smooth BUT ITS WORTH IT! Once I explained to my children why I was so upset about not going to Alabama, they overstood so well my oldest said to me, “It’s okay, Mommy we can go back to Alabama next time to feed the homeless”

Oftentimes, my children and I will feed the homeless. Why? Because I have been there before with my babies. In shelters, in hotels, etc. but I never gave up on my business and most times had to still pull through even in my darkness.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
BossnFlavors is a brand that compliments tastebuds and balances flavors. We do not cook with salt which has allowed us to produce a Salt-Free seasoning still full of flavors. I also manage artists, foresee artists in artist development and OF COURSE, I COOK GOOD FOOD!

I am very proud of the journey this brand and I have been on, from cooking for Eazy E daughter Reemarkable, many influencers, releasing a single” She Cooks by GIO” that’s available on ALL MUSIC PLATFORM – manufacturing a seasoning from 100% fresh natural and dehydrated fruits vegetables and many herbs. Shelving my salt-free seasoning in a Grocery Market in SW, Washington, DC along with frozen ready-to-cook Entree options. Being the face of BossnFlavors / BossnEmpire is something I am very proud of. We’ve done great things and will produce more greatness in our future.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
The most high deserves all the credit I can give to anyone along this journey. There has been many tough times and without prayer and many sacrifices, I wouldn’t gotten as far as I have today.

Of course, my supporters deserve credit. Anyone who supported my brand by purchasing meals, booking events, and hosting tables for my pop-up experience I greatly and wholeheartedly appreciate you.
