Daily Inspiration: Meet Abby Bagley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abby Bagley.

Hi Abby, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Ever since I was little, I have always been obsessed with fashion. I remember running to my mom’s closet and trying on all her clothes and shoes and I would put on the most extravagant fashion shows on, party of one of course! Then as I got older, not only did my need for fashion grew it became a passion. Then my mom finally bought me a camera because she was tired of me stealing her phone to take pictures.

I would always take inspo pictures from landscapes to beautiful architecture, and then would put it with an outfit. I love being able to see both sides and see the image come to life from being in front of the camera and also being behind the camera. Over the years, I have been developing my portfolio and working on it but it wasn’t till recently that I fell in a weird funk and needed a change of scenery, so then I just up and moved from Houston to the Valley.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest struggle I have run into is me. I ran into a weird funk during quarantine and in a way lost my motivation and drive. It was as almost I was burned out but luckily I had my friends, who are my main support system. Taking a step back allowed me to grow more as a creative and appreciate the whole vision to the final product, from behind and in front of the camera.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a model with also a love for photography. I love that when I get to collaborate with different photographers and stylists because what’s better than one creative’s mind, 2! Fashion has allowed me to break out of my shell and grow more as me. I have learned so much from the different shoots and gained a lot of new experiences and they have truly molded me into the model I am today.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love all the different people I have met and getting to know the different ways and techniques to get the perfect picture. The thing I dislike, let me tell you about the wind in the Valley!
