Hi Yaroslav, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into tattooing didn’t start as a business plan — it started as a deep fascination with art, detail, and storytelling. I was always drawn to drawing and design, especially work that carried meaning rather than just decoration. Tattooing felt like the most honest form of that: permanent, personal, and emotional.

Like many artists, I didn’t take a straight path. I spent years refining my skills, learning discipline, and understanding that tattooing is as much about responsibility and trust as it is about technique. Over time, I became especially focused on fine line work — precision, subtlety, and tattoos that feel timeless rather than trendy.

That mindset eventually led me to open LOFT 7 TATTOO in Venice Beach. I wanted to create a space that felt different from the traditional tattoo shop — more private, calm, and intentional. A studio where clients feel safe, heard, and respected, and where every piece is treated as a collaboration, not a transaction.

Today, I see my work as an ongoing evolution. I’m not just building a studio — I’m building a culture around quality, integrity, and artistic growth. Every tattoo, every client, and every day in the studio is part of that story, and I’m grateful that it’s still unfolding.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most creative paths, it’s been full of uncertainty, pressure, and moments where I had to seriously question myself.

One of the biggest challenges was building trust in an industry where reputation means everything. Tattooing isn’t something people try casually — clients are trusting you with their body forever. Earning that trust took time, consistency, and a lot of quiet work behind the scenes.

Another struggle was learning how to balance being an artist with being a business owner. Creativity doesn’t automatically come with skills like pricing, scheduling, permits, or managing expectations. Opening and running a private studio in Los Angeles came with its own set of challenges — high standards, strict regulations, and financial risk.

There were also personal challenges: long hours, creative burnout, and moments of isolation that come from choosing a nontraditional path. When you’re building something from scratch, there’s no clear roadmap, and progress isn’t always visible right away.

What kept me going was a clear vision and a refusal to rush the process. Every obstacle forced me to become more disciplined, more intentional, and more confident in my voice as an artist. Looking back, those struggles didn’t slow me down — they shaped the foundation of everything I’m building now.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work centers around fine line tattooing, minimalism, and detail-driven designs that age beautifully over time. I focus on pieces that feel intentional and personal — tattoos that don’t shout, but speak. Whether it’s symbolic imagery, delicate lettering, or subtle illustrative work, my goal is always precision, balance, and longevity.

I’m known for a calm, collaborative approach with my clients. I take time to understand their story, their vision, and how the tattoo fits their body and life. For me, tattooing isn’t about repeating flash or chasing trends — it’s about creating something meaningful that will still feel right years from now.

What I’m most proud of is the environment I’ve built at LOFT 7 TATTOO. It’s a private, high-end studio designed to feel safe, quiet, and respectful — especially for clients who may feel intimidated by traditional tattoo shops. Every detail, from consultation to aftercare, is intentional.

What sets me apart is that I see tattooing as a long-term craft, not just a service. I’m deeply involved in every step of the process — design, placement, execution, and education. I’d rather do fewer tattoos at a higher standard than chase volume. That commitment to quality, trust, and artistic integrity is what defines my work and continues to attract the right clients.

If there’s one thing I’d like to share, it’s that meaningful work takes time — whether you’re creating art, building a business, or defining your own path. In a world that pushes speed and instant results, I believe there’s real value in patience, intention, and staying true to your standards.

Tattooing has taught me that the smallest details often carry the most weight. Every line matters. Every decision matters. That mindset extends beyond the studio and into life itself.
