Conversations with Tony DeSean

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony DeSean.

Hi Tony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my acting career in New York City doing theater and then finding myself in some really cool indie films. After some time I thought I’d give Los Angeles a try. Been in love with LA since day one.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been some really smooth moments in my artist journey, but Ive also been met with lots of roadblocks and obstacles.
Finding the right community and tribe was difficult at first, but it’s slowly came together. It’s definitely needed in a place like Los Angeles. Helps life flow nicer.
One of the struggles that most artists don’t talk about is maintaining your love for the arts after so many disappointments. You have to constantly remind yourself why you do this. Keep your heart open and find new ways to love what you do.
Los Angeles is filled with a ton of talented actors. Setting yourself apart is a must. Finding your style, voice, and what’s makes you different. Really just finding yourself.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am pretty much known for doing commercials and print modeling. It’s been very lucrative over the years.
I’ve also had my hands in some independent film work and productions that have produced myself along with some amazing talented friends. Any time I can spread a solid message.. no matter if it’s film, TV or commercials, I am extremely proud of those moments. I love to use my platform, no matter how big a small it may be.
I honestly always feel blessed to be doing what I love.
