Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Johnson.
Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Aloha! I was attending the university of Hawaii , studying a pre-med track while on the University’s dance team. Before I began studying for the MCAT, I wanted to dance in LA dance studios for just a summer before life got serious. While training in LA, I saw the Clipper Spirit Dancers were having an open audition the next day…of course I decided to attend for just the experience. Long story short, I made the team! I had three days to pack up my things in Hawaii and move to LA to embark on a fully unexpected journey. During my year as a Clippers Dancer, I finished my Psychology Pre-Med degree online, got signed with a dance agency and quickly moved into commercial work as a dancer… a life I NEVER imagined living.
My agent saw that I competed for Miss Hawaii at some point and recommended that I try to step into the world of modeling. This led me to compete for Miss California USA with only 2 months of prep where against 72 fellow women,…I WON! Now THIS changed my life! I went on to place in the top 16 for Miss USA, did some work with the NFL Network and Major League Rugby, got into Production work for Television and Live Events where I now run my own production company! During Covid I wanted to occupy my time so I attended cosmetology school online where I thankfully was able to complete and receive my cosmetology license, become a practicing esthetician and am now releasing my own skincare line this summer 2026! Lastly, my heart is in cooking and hosting for those I love. I have a passion project of my very own cookbook coming out this Fall 2026 Just in time for the hosting holidays!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not!! Every road of dreams comes with hardship. I have health struggles of autoimmune issues that started with Endometriosis and has now grown into Hashimotos as well. My body isn’t always my friend however I’ve learned to work with my body instead of against it. I’ve also learned to use it as a part of my mission; I’m coming out with an anti-inflammatory cookbook for the women that face the same struggles as me and building my skincare line with the women that feel forgotten about in mind. I went through a divorce yet it was the best growing moment in my life. I was able to face myself in the mirror and realize that every woman deserves to be in a space that allows them to shine, grow and step fully into their calling; never shrink, dismiss or change who they are to feel approval. Every hardship i’ve faced has allowed me to be a better version of myself and serve those around me with intention!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a daughter of hardworking entrepreneurs that built a path of their own, who made me sit and listen in board meetings as well as work in their business through out multiple departments, at a young age. This really developed a mind set for me that I’m destined to build a path of my own as well. People always say they can never figure out where I fit but that’s the whole point; I take pride in versatility, flexibility and uniqueness
What matters most to you?
Authenticity !!!! I know that even when I was primarily a dancer/model, I was always selling a product(even if I was the product to the casting director lol). If I do not connect to what I’m selling or don’t feel the morality in my core to work on a project, no matter the number attached, I will not move forward with the deal. Character will always prevail over talent!
