Conversations with Summer Loffler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Summer Loffler.

Hi Summer, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been passionate about fitness, but after losing my brother 8 years ago, my life went downhill very quickly. During one of the hardest times in my life, I found weight training, and it completely changed me — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

Fitness became an outlet for healing, growth, discipline, and rebuilding my confidence. Through my own journey, I realized how powerful movement and strength can be, especially for women going through difficult seasons in life. That experience inspired me to become a trainer so I could help other women feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in themselves both inside and outside of the gym.

Today, I’m passionate about creating a supportive environment where women feel empowered, encouraged, and capable of becoming the best version of themselves.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One challenge I faced in the beginning was not knowing where to start with personal training or how to build a client base. I had the passion for fitness and helping people, but starting out was intimidating and there were a lot of moments where I doubted myself.

Over time, I started putting myself out there more, connecting with women in local Facebook groups, and building relationships through word of mouth. That support and trust from other women has been huge for me and has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

I’ve learned that building a career in fitness takes patience, consistency, and genuine connections with people. Every challenge along the way has helped me become more confident in myself and more passionate about helping other women feel strong and supported in their own journeys.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a personal trainer focused on helping women build confidence, strength, and healthier lifestyles in a realistic and supportive way. My passion for fitness comes from my own personal journey and the way weight training helped me mentally and emotionally through difficult times in my life.

I specialize in beginner-friendly training, weight loss, strength building, and helping women feel comfortable in the gym environment. I’m most proud of being able to connect with clients on a personal level and create an encouraging space where they feel supported instead of judged.

What sets me apart is that I truly understand how intimidating starting a fitness journey can feel because I’ve been there myself. I didn’t have everything figured out when I started training or building my business, but through consistency, word of mouth, and support from local women’s Facebook groups, I’ve been able to grow and build genuine relationships with my clients.

For me, fitness is about much more than appearance — it’s about confidence, healing, discipline, and helping women become stronger mentally and physically.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I’ve learned how important mentorship and networking can be, especially when starting out in the fitness industry. One of the biggest influences in my life was my mentor, Raquel, who sadly passed away from cancer a few years ago. She was the person who first helped guide me into personal training and showed me the steps to becoming a trainer. Her belief in me gave me confidence during a time when I was still trying to figure everything out.

One of the biggest lessons she taught me was the importance of building genuine relationships and staying consistent. Networking through local women’s Facebook groups and word of mouth has helped me tremendously in growing my client base and connecting with supportive people in the community.

My advice to others would be to not be afraid to put yourself out there, ask questions, and learn from people who inspire you. A good mentor can truly change your life, and even small connections can open doors you never expected.
