Conversations with Myesha Chaney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myesha Chaney.

Hi Myesha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m an author, speaker, and entrepreneur with a background as a registered nurse. For nearly a decade, I worked in healthcare before transitioning into ministry and leadership, where I spent many years helping build and lead a large church community. During that season, I also founded businesses focused on leadership development, coaching, and personal growth.

Over the years, my career has evolved through several chapters, each one teaching me something different about resilience, reinvention, and purpose. Some of those chapters were incredibly rewarding, while others required me to rebuild my life from the ground up. Those experiences ultimately shaped the work I do today.

Today, I help individuals and organizations lead with authenticity through speaking, coaching, and writing. I’m also the author of *Honest*, a memoir about rebuilding your life after loss, embracing truth, and finding the courage to become who you were meant to be. My passion is helping people navigate change, lead with integrity, and create lives that align with who they truly are.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. Like most entrepreneurs, my journey has included both incredible highs and significant challenges. I’ve experienced major career transitions, public scrutiny, the end of a long marriage, and the process of rebuilding both personally and professionally. There were seasons when I had to let go of an identity I had held for years and start over from scratch.

Building a business also comes with its own challenges. I learned how to wear multiple hats, navigate uncertainty, make difficult decisions, and continue to move forward even when the path isn’t clear. Those experiences have taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of leading with authenticity.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change those difficult seasons because they shaped who I am today. They deepened my compassion, strengthened my leadership, and ultimately gave me a clearer sense of purpose. Many of the lessons I share through my speaking, coaching, and writing were born from those very challenges.

I’m an author, speaker, and leadership coach who helps people lead and live with greater authenticity. My work focuses on personal growth, resilience, leadership, and navigating life’s transitions with courage and integrity. Through keynote speaking, coaching, workshops, and writing, I equip individuals and organizations with practical tools to lead themselves and others well.

I’m the author of *Honest*, a memoir that explores identity, loss, healing, and the courage to rebuild your life. Rather than simply sharing my own story, my goal is to create conversations that help others embrace their own truth and move forward with hope.

What I’m most proud of is the impact my work has on people’s lives. Whether I’m speaking to an audience, coaching a leader, or writing a book, my hope is that people leave feeling more empowered, more self-aware, and more confident in who they are.

What sets my work apart is the combination of lived experience and practical leadership insights. I share lessons that have been shaped by real-life challenges and personal growth, making my work both relatable and actionable. My mission is to help people build lives and organizations rooted in authenticity, purpose, and lasting impact.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I think the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success is not about having a perfect story. It’s about having the courage to keep going, to stay true to your values, and to continue growing through every season of life.

If there’s one thing I hope people take away from my work, it’s that your past does not define your future. No matter what you’ve experienced, it’s never too late to begin again, make a different choice, or create a life that feels honest and aligned with who you truly are. That’s the message behind everything I write, speak about, and build.
