Today we’d like to introduce you to Mario Sanchez

Hi Mario, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It started when I bought my first Dj controller a week after going to my first Future Funk event in Downtown LA. I was introduced to the event thru a sponsored ad on Instagram and enticed me enough to go check it out. The music was new and something I enjoyed. I met a lot of people there that felt the same way and other DJs that helped me on my journey to get better at Djing.

After a year of Djing in LA I was finally ready to start making my own music. In my past I was in band/orchestra in middle school thru college as well as rock bands with my friends. I had the knowledge of music composition and theory to help make the music I want. It has been almost a year of making music and I can say the sound I developed is something unique and something I love. Thru the connections of other Djs, promoters and venues, I have been given the chance to share that live and in person. Im here to usher in a new sound in EDM. Music has brought people all over the world to check out my music

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it hasn’t been a smooth road. Music and music business is a complicated and sometimes an emotion rollercoaster. Everyone wants to be heard or the “best” but its not a competition. Ive lost friends, been banned from venues and just not included in plans for events because of this. The only thing I can do is keep releasing music and keep finding the right people to be around.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in music composition. I feel like you have to have a big imagination to imagine what a song can sound like, Im really proud of the most recent songs I have released because I feel like its some of my best work so far and something that will help future songs I make. The fact I make music because I love music and not something to make me popular or for clout sets me apart from others.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is being happy and making a living doing something you like with people that respect the person you are.
