Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Ann Santos
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am Jenny Ann, a passionate and versatile Luso Brazilian artist dedicated to bringing stories to life through film, television, my voice and stage performances.
I’m involved with art since I was born.
Singing competitions, acting etc.
But things started working out when I joined the show “ Raul Gil on SBT” in 2012.
It was a singing competition similar to American Idols but in the Brazilian television.
I was in TV for one year and i was one of the finalists. After that I did many shows.
In 2014 I moved to South Korea and worked as a Teacher,Model, Actress and Voice actress for almost 8 years.
In Korea I was an extra for many Korean Dramas, Kpop MV’s, Netflix series, TV and internet commercials and magazines.
I also dubbed the OST in Portuguese of the most famous South Korean animations PORORO and TAYO.
During those years o also got recognition online and also started working as an influencer.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an artist is never easy.
Of course we have to deal with many “no’s” along the way.
I always had to deal with many situations regarding my appearance, sexuality or height.
Also was a long way till I was able to join Brazilian television when I was a teenager! I auditioned many times for years, but I never gave up! I called and sent many emails and even went to the production door to apply in person lol I’m lucky enough to have amazing parents that even though they are not involved in this field, they always helped me to accomplish my dreams ! Also was a huge challenge to be accepted on the artistic field in Korea.
And dealing with social media bullying is also something very complicated for my mental health.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an Actress,Voice actress,Singer,Model.
I’m also a songwriter and writer.
I’m most know for my participation on the TV Show Raul Gil and my work as an influencer.
I have a bit more than 300k subscribers on YouTube.
I’m proud of all my work.
Every work I did was a different challenge.
Being on TV was amazing but I’m definitely proud of being the voice actress/singer of the Pororo and Tayo in Portuguese.
But now I’m looking forward on being on new film project and going back to TV.
I don’t give up. I think that’s my biggest strength.
What matters most to you?
My family, my pets and my career are my top 3 priorities in life.
My carrear it’s what keeps me alive.
I’m artist. I breathe art all the time.
My family it’s my strength. Took me a few years to realize that and my pets are my babies! They are also part of my family and they’ve been with me on my hardest times.
