Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenna Michele

Hi Jenna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I quit my job and I took my first throwing class in 2021 became instantly obsessed. I quickly started making too much too fast and decided that I should maybe start my own business. By 2022 I was vending every weekend and now in 2024 almost 2025 I am still thankfully able to do what I love and create everyday.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing worth having comes without a few bumps in the road. The hardest part about having your own business is doubt and fear. Doubting your ability and fearing that you will not make enough money to survive. It’s very difficult to balance doing something you love while also making sure you have enough money to sustain it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am known as the mug queen around the studio. Although now I do all of my work at home so maybe just to some places in Long Beach am I known as the mug queen. I put my intrusive thoughts on mugs to help offset some of my sassyness in real life.

I am most proud of my more organic work though. I do LOVE my mugs and vases with faces but there is something elemental to me about my organic pieces.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m not so sure on how to collaborate with my work but the way to support any artist is word of mouth. Share a photo on social media, share my website/Instagram with a friend and of course buying a piece 🙂
