Today we’d like to introduce you to Craig Blank
Hi Craig, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My love of photography started at an early age when my Godfather gave me a camera. Immediately I was fascinated with seeing the world through the lens and the visual language. I knew that this is what I wanted to do with my life. From there I was accepted to the School of Visual Arts in NYC. That cemented my career in photography. Career wise I started off in the Home Fashion industry. Those years provided experience and lighting knowledge that I still use to this day. Currently I run my own studio. Focusing on fashion and fashion accessories for magazines and commercial clients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For me photography will always have it’s up and downs. The challenges help me grow as a photographer. From learning the latest software to marketing trends, I find these help elevate my business and photography to a higher level.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is focused in and around the Fashion industry. Either in the studio or on location I am known for creating a vibe that brings out the best in the photo and everyone involved. My clients are Fashion Designers, Fashion Brands and anyone who needs outstanding content. That includes work for influencers and magazines. Additionally I photograph a lot of celebrity events.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Los Angeles is a city that creates amazing content! Top locations and top studios. Plus there is an ever growing talent pool making cutting edge work that the world looks up to. On the not love side LA has it’s challenges in housing making it harder for the city to grow. Of course traffic can be a drag, but I have made peace with it.
