Conversations with Caren Carnegie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caren Carnegie.

Caren, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
What originally brought me to this work was a desire to understand myself more deeply.

Like many people, I thought I was pursuing physical change. I began exercising and working with a personal trainer because I wanted to feel better in my body, but what I discovered was something much bigger. Movement became the doorway to understanding myself.

Through every workout, challenge, and moment of discomfort, I began uncovering beliefs, patterns, strengths, fears, and possibilities I hadn’t recognized before. The more courageously I walked toward those discoveries, the more my understanding of my health, self-leadership, and personal growth began to change.

My curiosity led me to become a Certified Spiritual Life Coach. At the time, I wasn’t seeking credentials to build a career or serve others—I simply wanted to understand myself more fully. As my journey continued, I became a Certified Personal Training Specialist, recognizing that the body is one of our greatest sources of wisdom. I came to see that physical movement is never separate from the rest of who we are. It often opens conversations about identity, purpose, confidence, grief, and the stories we carry.

Along the way, something else continued to develop naturally. My intuition became stronger. Experiences I once questioned became impossible to ignore, and over time I embraced my work as a psychic channeler. Rather than seeing these paths as separate, I came to understand they were all expressions of the same journey—understanding myself more deeply. It was only through living that journey that I realized I could walk alongside others in theirs.

Today, I’m the founder of Transform Fitness Coaching and Transform HQ, where I guide people through what I call embodied momentum. My work blends movement, conversation, nature, intuitive guidance, and lived experience to create space for people to reconnect with themselves and move forward from a place that’s true for them.

One of the greatest lessons this journey has taught me is that where we start isn’t where we’re meant to stay. We don’t leave our beginnings behind, and we don’t become someone else. We grow by understanding ourselves more deeply, carrying every chapter of our story with us as we continue writing the next one. That belief shapes not only my own life, but every conversation, session, and experience I have the privilege of sharing with others.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I don’t think I would want it to have been.

One of my greatest challenges wasn’t learning new skills—it was learning to trust myself.

For a long time, I questioned what I was experiencing. I’m naturally curious, but I’m also skeptical. I wanted to understand why I was sensing what I was sensing, rather than simply accepting it. That skepticism became important because it taught me discernment. It encouraged me to keep asking questions and, at the same time, accept that I couldn’t always meet my own human expectations for certainty or understanding. That, in itself, became one of my greatest lessons. The constant wasn’t having all the answers—it was returning to my body. Embodiment became the place I could come back to, again and again, allowing lived experience to shape my understanding rather than adopting someone else’s.

There were also seasons where I worried about how my work would be perceived. It’s much easier to fit into one category than to openly say, “I’m a personal trainer, a spiritual life coach, and a psychic channeler.” For a while, I felt pressure to separate those parts of myself. Eventually, I realized the separation was creating more tension than the integration ever did.

On a personal level, I’ve experienced uncertainty, anxiety, and moments where I wanted everything figured out before taking the next step. What my body has taught me, however, is that certainty isn’t a prerequisite for movement. Presence is. Every time I chose to return to what I knew to be true—in my body, in my values, and in my own lived experience—I took another step forward.

Looking back, I can see that momentum wasn’t something I found. It was something I created, one choice at a time. Choosing to trust myself, over and over again, became the very thing that carried me forward. In many ways, that’s why the word *momentum* is part of my work today. It isn’t about moving faster; it’s about moving honestly. Momentum is what naturally follows when we choose ourselves with intention, even when we can’t yet see the whole path.

Today, I don’t look back on those struggles as obstacles. I see them as teachers. They shaped my understanding of myself, deepened my compassion for others, and continue to remind me that authenticity isn’t something we arrive at once. It’s something we choose, over and over again.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the heart of my work, I help people reconnect with themselves.

Sometimes that begins with movement. Sometimes it begins with a conversation. Sometimes it begins with stillness, nature, or an intuitive insight. I’ve learned that the doorway is different for everyone, but the destination is often the same: remembering who they are beneath the noise.

I specialize in what I call **embodied momentum**—an approach that brings together movement, self-leadership, spiritual life coaching, and intuitive guidance. While those disciplines are often viewed separately, I don’t experience them that way. To me, they’re all expressions of the same conversation.

The body has become my greatest teacher. It doesn’t separate our physical experiences from our emotional, mental, or spiritual ones, so neither do I. Whether someone comes to me for fitness, clarity, leadership, or personal growth, I meet them as a whole human being. My role isn’t to tell people who they are; it’s to create the conditions where they can discover that for themselves.

What I’m most proud of isn’t a title, an award, or a credential. It’s having the courage to stop separating the parts of myself that never truly belonged apart. As I began trusting my own lived experience, I created space for others to do the same.

I think what sets my work apart is that I don’t believe transformation happens by becoming someone else. I believe it happens by becoming more deeply ourselves. Everything I offer—whether it’s movement, coaching, speaking, or intuitive guidance—is simply a different doorway into that same experience.

If people know me for anything, I hope it’s this: I help people remember that the wisdom they’re searching for isn’t somewhere outside of them. It’s already within them. Sometimes they simply need someone willing to walk beside them while they learn to trust it.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I think people are often surprised by just how practical I am.

Before doing this work, I spent nearly 20 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. My background taught me to think critically, value evidence, and approach things with curiosity and logic. Even today, that’s still part of who I am.

People sometimes assume that because I’m a psychic channeler, I’ve always experienced the world through intuition alone. The truth is quite the opposite. I’ve questioned my experiences every step of the way. Curiosity and skepticism have walked hand in hand throughout my journey, and I believe they’ve made my work stronger. I don’t ask people to believe something because I say it—I encourage them to explore their own lived experience.

Another thing people may not expect is that I don’t believe having all the answers is the goal. I still experience uncertainty. I still have moments where I question myself. The difference today is that I’ve learned to trust myself through those moments rather than waiting for certainty before taking the next step.

Outside of my work, I’m happiest spending time with my family, caring for Transform HQ, moving my body, and paying attention to what nature is reflecting back to me. Some of the most meaningful insights I’ve ever received have come while stacking firewood, walking through the woods, or sitting quietly beneath the trees.

If there’s one thing my journey has taught me, it’s that spirituality and practicality don’t have to exist on opposite ends of a spectrum. For me, they’ve become partners. One keeps me curious, the other keeps me grounded, and together they’ve helped me become more fully myself.
