Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Holmes- Queen Breezy1.
Hi Brianna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started making music when i was a child. Me and my cousins spent our days outside making songs and dance routines in my grandmothers front yard. Once I got older I hung out with a large group of friends in Moreno Valley and the guys all made music. I spent a large amount of my time watching them all be creative in the studio and at shows. I wasn’t into music like that yet, but I realized i loved the process and being involved. Fast forward, I went to college and became a mother, student, and joined the job force working as a construction disbursement officer which i love also. In August of 2023, I lost a child, I unfortunately had a miscarriage and it was a tough time for me overall. I found peace and used music all for therapy through that dark time. Hurt Man by Moneybagg yo in particular was one of the prominent ongs that i would listen to and just kind of sit in the pain, it resonated well. After going through that, i joined grief therapy for child loss and they suggested journaling. I decided to start writing music and get in the booth. Since then, i continue to write and record and it is going well. I found my love for music through pain. I was signed within a year of making music by OG Mack Drama, to 1017 Brick Squad and have been going through Artist Development its a wonderful thing to have a team helping you build. I am also working with Universal Belaire Sippers on thier Compilation album which is amazing, it includes amazing artist.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There has been challenges, never was it smooth. From lack of support to technical difficulties. A big obstacle id say is finding the right team of people to work with. You have to be very selective and vette people out strategically and wisely in the music business.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a songwriter, rapper, singer, model and actor. I make a variety of music and have broken into modeling and screenplay. I am proud of it all, I was recently shouted out by Dj Envy of the breakfast club and Papa Zoe of Miami. Two very well known amazing individuals in the music business and it feels amazing knowing that my work is being recognized by the right people and for the right reasons. I believe what sets me apart is that I am unique, I am me, and I’m not changing to fit into anyone’s box or what they think is hot now. Being authentic goes a long way. On top of the artistry, I am a new graduate of Project Management through Google, adding to my Women’s Entrepreneurship certificate from Cornell university and extensive banking and accounting expertise in SBA lending. I am more than music.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe luck played a part. I believe it was keeping faith, being consistent and putting the work in that has contributed to my life and business. If luck is a factor, I have experienced both good and bad which builds perstitance.
