Today we’d like to introduce you to Asami Kuroki.
Hi Asami, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I had cancer, and during the healing process (I went to Japan), one of my dogs (here in the us) passed away, and I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. That night, I had a dream of working with animals. I returned to us a few days later and started looking for a grooming job. I am self-taught in everything about grooming. I became good at what I do. I can communicate with animals better than humans. I started working at Pasadena, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Brentwood, and Bel Air. My parents got very sick at the same time. I decided to take a risk to open my own after Bel Air Store chose to close.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building clientele was the hardest thing for me. I wanted to focus on my parents taking care of them (they both are in wheelchairs). It requires a lot of money, and I only want to groom quality service, not quantities, so I questioned myself: how do I do that?
I manifest only high-end clientele to balance my life, but how do I get to them, etc?
Little by little, a few clients told about their friends and family members.
After that, I quickly built hundreds of
High clientele.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a groomer. I take my time to get to know each animal before I started to groom.
I’m a little different than other groomers because I’m an animal rescuer past 18 years… I’m good at earning trust from

I also medical Foster to heal animals
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
